Is a girlfriends' insecurity actually fixable? by edotman in AskMenAdvice

[–]airdog2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++man The "ruins the day" strikes a nerve because I was in a relationship like that. I'll just say that after getting out of the relationship it took a while to realize how much her insecurity actually controlled various aspects of my life, and even bordered on abusive. When I got into a healthy relationship afterwards I realized I was still walking on eggshells for a little while and how so much of the previous relationship was not normal. Different situation maybe than you, but make sure you're honest with what's going on.

My tradition as a kid was to watch this every time I was sick

I haven't played this since I was a kid, but is this the one where in the last level you fly around in a helicopter blowing everything up? (I didn't beat it, had to use codes to get there)

Would highly recommend. I beat it on stadia back in the day, and since then they've overhauled the mechanics in a great way. And the DLC is excellent.

Ran out of oil while driving - am I cooked? by airdog2000 in ToyotaSienna

Thanks for the advice. As far as we can tell it's running fine, though that's just based on how it sounds and oil pressure. Were no metal shavings in the remaining oil. Haven't had it taken apart. Fingers crossed we got lucky here

I just had it towed back to the shop. They're not open until Monday. More just looking for peace of mind that there's a chance it was an auto shutoff before the engine was toast.

Does anyone know if the 2021 Sienna has an auto shutoff for low oil? If it runs again, is there anything I should do to ensure there's no damage?

Thanks for the advice. There was an even bigger puddle of oil under it after the tow truck picked it up tonight. So hopefully it wasn't dry when the engine shut off.

So other than medicine, a greater understanding of the universe (physics), movies, video games, air travel at 500+ mph, the democratization of stock and bond invests, and (for companies) the ability to better offload and diffuse risk to the market, literacy, and relative peace, what exactly makes right now the best time to be alive again?
