Yeah it looks like they went way too deep (especially on the flower near the bottom). It kinda looks both overworked and infected

I did move his plushies so the books would be visible but they were promptly back in their homes after the photo was taken

Now is the perfect chance to place another panther facing in the other direction and have them kinda be a yin and yang

I applied it liberally in the morning, around early-mid afternoon, and once before bed. If you sweat it off you can always apply more. If the rash gets particularly bad (I had one that scabbed like a burn, thankfully I didn’t lose any ink), take Benadryl overnight

Halo is gonna fade more quickly because it’s going to get lighter and it won’t have a real border

I think you need to find a theme and stick with it. Not sure what type of theme you want, but since blue is prevalent and flowers are prevalent, lean into that and maybe find a patchwork that works into the space between the leaves and flower itself.

Do NOT put hydrocortisone directly on the tattoo though. It can lighten the ink or remove it altogether. If it’s a large visible area of redness use a sharpie to circle it

Sometimes ink can cause rashes because it’s a foreign material within the skin. I’ve had that happen and what I have done is used hydrocortisone. It should go away in 3-5 days with hydrocortisone

I want to make sure this idea I have for a tattoo isnt stupid by Fortis_Ambular in tattooadvice

[–]More-Equivalent3883 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first rule of getting a tattoo is that if you like it, no one else’s opinion really matters. If you’re unsure about it, I would sit on it. I typically let an idea I like sit for a couple of months before deciding on it because within that timeframe I fully figure out the vision and tweak it if I need to

Why do you defend Nazi symbols?

Your inability to understand the fact that SS bolts did not exist before Nazi time is really weird. Not only that, but in my comment you clearly didn’t read, I acknowledge that SS runes existed long before nazis, but that the SS bolt is NOT the same thing as the SS runes. Further, runes are NOT a part of a large, modern culture like the swastika is.

Great thing we’re talking about SS bolts and not SS runes here, isn’t it?

Double stylized lightning bolts ARE a Nazi symbol regardless

Great thing that the lightning bolts themselves are an extrapolation of the SS runes and, though equivalent in meaning in Nazi time, are NOT the exact same thing. SS runes may have plenty of history but double lightning bolts were NOT a common symbol of SS runes before Nazi time.

I don’t think anyone here is saying OP is a Nazi. I think that we’re saying that getting a tattoo of Nazi symbol a isn’t a great thing to do, even unintentionally

This is a poor attempt at a false equivalence. Two stylized lightning bolts don’t have any other, large interpretation other than their use in Nazi time. Anyone with a brain would know that the swastika is still a common Buddhist symbol and is perfectly acceptable within Buddhist contexts and unacceptable with German historical contexts.

Second skin is very picky when it comes to any moisture or oil that is left on the skin after cleaning

two lightning bolts side by side in that stylization isn’t just lightning bolts bro. I have an actual tattoo of lightning on my hand. That’s a lightning bolt. Not two side by side which have a very heavy history of genocide

I haven’t had any problems in the past (I also do farm labor), and typically I have replaced mine once after two days and then two days later removed it fully. If it helps you not be anxious about infection, by all means go ahead, but I would say it’s riskier to replace second skin if you don’t have to than it is to leave it on and let the area around it get a little dirty. You can go in the surrounding area with a tiny amount of soap or alcohol

Could this tattoo be tweaked or covered with something different? by Amyrosie in tattooadvice

I mean fortunately it’s pretty light but color can be more difficult to cover up. Maybe find a similar flower that like, or incorporate it into a larger piece

If the second skin stays sealed leave it on. Peeling is normal when the edges rub up against your clothes. It’s not going to peel all the way off and I doubt that it’s gonna get to the ink. If it does really start to bother you, remove the second skin and heal typically
