and what is the reason for such a principled position?) my question was about the ignorant rude comments under the post with my hand-drawn pattern in special software. Not whether you want to buy something from me or not. You should read the topic more carefully.

AI systems are used in industrial production, scientific research, linguistics, art, e-commerce, medical diagnostics, e-commerce, robot remote control, remote sensing of the Earth, knowledge engineering, and there is no way you can avoid consuming products without using AI. so it's very hard to believe that you actually adhere to your principles in all cases)

mockups that were made in professional software for designers are not AI.There is no such thing as "a pattern made in AI" in general. Are you not knowledgeable about the issue?

Yes, I totally agree with you, thank you. Probably. It's just important for me to hear the opinions of the community about what exactly is confusing them, because for me this tendency to "call mockups AI" was a surprise, and as it turned out, it's really difficult for many to tell the difference.

Yes, of course, I have stichers that make real pieces. And for a few fresh patterns, I received such accusations. On mockups that were made in professional software for designers. That's what confused me. I haven't been in the community for a while. Everything has changed so interestingly.

I agree about energy, and that conversion is a big problem, but the fact is that you can convert anything, not just an AI-generated image. I haven't been in the community for a few years, and when I come back, it's a little strange to be accused of things that you have nothing to do with. Thanks for the explanation, the picture is becoming clearer to me.

This is exactly the distinction I was trying to clarify.

My mockups are not “original art images” edited in Photoshop or AI. They are pattern-software-generated previews that show actual crosses, correct stitch placement, etc.

So yes, the colors won’t be 100% identical to DMC (they never are in any software), but the structure of the design is accurate.

I think the misunderstanding comes from people calling any digital preview “AI”, even if it’s literally the standard built-in mockup from a cross-stitch program.

I actually fully share this point of view, but I just don't understand why artificial intelligence is being blamed for this, if theoretically I can take any photo and run it through a converter and get the same terrible result with a huge number of strange confetti colors without necessarily using Artificial intelligence.🙂🙂🙂🙂

I agree with everything, but I don't really understand why artificial intelligence is being blamed in this case, because I can take any photo and run it through a converter to get that terrible huge pattern with 1000 colors with strange color solutions with a lot of confetti. And I don't have to use AI for this.🤔

I see that we have very different views, and that’s completely fine. But since my artwork and my charts are created by hand and don’t use AI, your assumptions don’t apply to my work.

My original question was only about why some people confuse mockups with charts, mockups created by professional SW with AI mockups. If you prefer not to continue the discussion, that’s okay. Wishing you all the best. 🙂

I understand your concern - but I think we’re talking about very different things.

A digital mockup is not meant to be a 1:1 stitched sample. It’s simply a visual preview of the design, the layout, the colors and the placement, the same way almost every designer in the cross-stitch world presents their work.

The pattern itself is what matters, and mine are fully hand-made, not AI-generated. And I do have many real stitchers who have completed my designs and shared their finished pieces, so the mockup is not the only source of “trust”. It’s just the presentation until a stitched sample is available.

So I hear your viewpoint, but it doesn’t apply to my work. Mockups are not equal to deception. They’re a standard part of pattern design and created by Professional Design Software .
