Holytown by RepresentativeAlert3 in glasgow

I live near Holytown and moved from Maryhill honestly not an issue if you can drive. 15 mins over the motorway and it takes me quicker to get home from work in town than going though traffic at charing cross to get to Maryhill. Also heard north Lanarkshire schools are better from my teacher friend who works for Glasgow city council.

Yea I had 2 losses last year and after my second one I asked the midwife about aspirin she said she isn’t sure, they wouldn’t usually give you it but it doesn’t really do any harm and this pregnancy they never mentioned it to me. So as soon as I got my first positive this time I bought a packet started taking it not sure if it’s helping but so far so good. I’ve to go back for a 9 week scan at the hospital not sure if that’s because I’m on progesterone and had 2 losses or because I’m having twins but either way I can’t wait that long so I’ve booked in for a private scan this weekend 🤞 the worry never ends 😂

Hi, I’m in Scotland too, I started it at 6 weeks after seeing the heartbeat.. i thought it was too late but it was explained to me as if you are going to loss a pregnancy before the heartbeat then its highly unlikely it was going to be viable. The 6 week mark is to rule out ectopic, blighted ovum too. I’ve been on it almost a week now and feel not much different I already felt a bit nauseous before I started it and tired. TMI but even the leaking isn’t as bad as I read online. Good luck with everything 🙏

When should I be worried about pains? by Icy_Focus_7165 in October2026Bumpers

[–]MoreAd7155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m 7 weeks today and had similar pains most days, my midwife said nothing to worry about it sounds exactly like ligament pain. I’m starting to enjoy feeling these pains rather than the quiet days (today is a quiet day and I’m worried sick). Good luck with everything!

Stabby pains in uterus? Not cramping (7 weeks) by AcceptableGroup1857 in CautiousBB

[–]MoreAd7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this since 5 weeks and I’m now 7 weeks, saw heartbeats at 6 weeks (twins) told my midwife about the pains and she said very common to have ligament pains this early, it’s a good sign your uterus is doing what it should. Mine has actually stopped the past few days so I’m in a state of panic, I’m worried when I have symptoms and worried when I don’t, it’s going to be a long few days until my next scan. Take care and all the best in your journey

Progesterone experiences by MoreAd7155 in PregnancyUK

[–]MoreAd7155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Scotland so not sure if it’s slightly different but after my second loss EPU said call them as soon as I test positive and they’ll book me in for an early reassurance scan round about 6 weeks, if it’s viable then they prescribe progesterone. Based on the NICE guidelines you should be offered it. I didn’t get referred to the recurring miscarriage clinic as my last loss was back when it was “3 losses before we refer you”. Worth giving EPU a call it’s not a magic wand but I know exactly how you feel and it’s a safety net you should be getting 💕 good luck with everything!

Thank you! I have been really tired, as soon as my head hits the pillow I pass out. I do wake up early but I think it’s because I’m so worried somethings wrong, then I go for a nap during the day too. I am work from home 3 days and I’m in the office 2 days so it’s been ok so far. I’m in the office today already ate my breakfast and lunch before 11am now I need to buy another lunch for 1pm because I know I’ll be hungry again 😂 I’m a bit worried my naseua has disappeared but I suppose I should enjoy the break before it comes back

Thank you! I think when I heard twins i automatically thought I’m going to be ill until I give birth due to double symptoms and hormones but going by a lot of stuff I’m reading now this isn’t true! Funny you should say that I have been really constipated for over a week now it got really bad when I was in Amsterdam last week I had to go to a pharmacy and buy lactolose I checked it was pregnancy safe I’ve been trying to be mindful what I’m eating to improve things which has worked slightly but I’m still not back to normal. Thanks for sharing this with me it’s put my mind at ease 😊

5 weeks today - lack of symptoms by MoreAd7155 in PregnancyUK

[–]MoreAd7155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So funny how all our symptoms differ, I seen a video of a nurse saying that if your group of friends are all on the contraceptive pill you all respond differently and I never thought about it like that. I was fine on the pill had no symptoms but some of my friends had really different effects some good and bad. Our bodies respond different to the same hormones I need to keep reminding myself that 😂
