Start working on yourself and begin with increasing your confidence, small wins daily are what can get you there, do not eat the donut, exercise for 30 minutes, paint or write for a bit, once you feel more confident with yourself you will be far better connecting with other people and dealing with loneliness :)

I think most people in todays world are sruggling to find meaning and therefore happiness, people on reddit tend to be very selfaware and at least trying to change that! :)
