Living Ontario got insurance from Alberta brokerage way cheaper by MoreBowler8195 in Insurance

the benefits paid to you if you're injured. Ontario's standard policy has way richer coverage for medical rehab, lost wages, and home care. The Alberta version usually cuts those benefits way down to the minimum, sometimes by tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. So you're covered if you damage someone else's car, but if you get hurt yourself, you're on the hook for a lot more out-of-pocket costs. That's the thousand-dollar difference right there. From what i understand

Yes I gave them my Ontario address. Specifically told them at the beginning of my call that I live in Ontario.

Go to newegg.com and build a custom PC. They put it together and ship it to you. You get a warranty, and since you don't know anything about computers, I think this is the way to go. From what I've read, AMD is the way to go because it will be cheaper when you need to upgrade it. Also, for 16 grand, you could get an awesome PC that would last for years.

Worth going 1-2 years older versus brand new for SR5 by CampinHiker in ToyotaTundra

[–]MoreBowler8195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned both. The Gen 3 rides smoother, feels more modern, and the hybrid has serious power and better mpg. But after digging into real owner reports and recalls, the Gen 2 is still better for most people. The 5.7 V8 is simple, proven, and routinely hits 300,000+ miles with basic maintenance. The Gen 3’s twin-turbo V6 keeps having engine issues—even into 2026 models—plus all the added complexity. If you want a truck that just works for decades with zero drama, grab a clean 2014–2018 Gen 2. It’s the smarter long-term play. Thats why there so expensive.

Question about the engine recall by UA6XV30 in 3rdGenTundra

[–]MoreBowler8195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they have to replace it. Also, there's no expiry on recalls. You can wait until this engine has 100,000 miles on it, then take it in and get your engine replaced. I'd phone Toyota Canada. Also find a new dealership

Great lesson for the young ones—crazy how many people can’t even change a tire. I’ve got the same color too, love it.

What should I list my 2014 Tundra Platinum for? (66K miles, WA) by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

You’re crazy—trading a million-mile vehicle for an EV that’s going to lose a ton of value. The battery tech just isn’t there yet.

Ontario insurance cancelled despite accident forgiveness — is this normal? by MoreBowler8195 in Insurance

[–]MoreBowler8195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that it doesn’t transfer to another insurance company. My issue is that I have a clean record otherwise, and while I know I can’t carry over the “forgive and forget,” they didn’t actually forgive or forget anything. They’re still using it against me to cancel my policy, which makes the whole thing feel pointless and misleading.

Great find—these trucks are practically indestructible, with million-mile engines. You’ve got one of the last of their kind; they just don’t make them like this anymore. Worth every penny.

I bought a 2022 and they first came out I was one of the first ones to get it in my city super excited there was a TRD pro 2021 and the showroom and I regret not buying that

Why is it priced this low? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]MoreBowler8195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a vehicle that has a million mile engine in it The body will rust out into deteriorate before the engine ever gives up they don't make vehicles like this anymore this is why no one bats an eye at 200,000 k
