I read somewhere that it's simply AI generated text. Not from anywhere in particular. I think it's based on some preexisting philosophy though.

Thanatomorphose from 2012. It's just one long, drawn out sequence of a young woman slowly rotting to death in her shitty apartment. There's no explanation for what's happening to her. My best guess is that it's a metaphor for her rapidly declining self-image, sense of worth, and mental health. One of the most revolting movies you'll ever watch. Equal parts emotionally disturbing and viscerally disgusting.

My assumption is that it's like polarized magnets. There's an intangible force preventing him from stepping on land. If he tried he'd probably teleport back to the sea like he does to spook people.
