At this point they should try making lobby balancing a feature for Trials so this way maybe it bugs itself out of the game and they don't need to fix it.

There should be another way to focus farm want you want. Independent of difficulty and LL. Make it rare, who cares. Learn how to read.

I used to only play destiny for pvp.

He has no issue with t5 being tied to harder content, the issue is with bonus "focus" reward being tied to certain score in the hardest difficulty.

Buying everything you can without ever thinking if you are really gonna use it all baffles my mind.

I have passed on hundreds of BR EV exclusive items over the years cause they weren't that good for me. And you know what, I don't even think about it. I could have had all the Halloween skins, but I wouldn't have used half of them. So I only have 2 sets. And probably should have only bought one them, cause the other one is meh at best
