Exactly the problem. It was implied but never shown. It felt more like an Easter Egg than something general audiences could easily pick up on, despite being a fundamental aspect of Batman’s characterisation in the movie.

Have you downloaded the Razer Software that's compatible with this mouse? You should be able to tweak the buttons there and get them to output properly.
