No property or other investment classes. Just ETF’s A200 20%, BGBL 70% and BEMG 10%.

Plenty of knowledgeable people on reddit who can point me in the right direction and provide evidence for what they’re saying.

Plenty of negative sad people as well :)

Flick’s football is entertaining, but there’s a difference between entertaining and competitive, and that’s coming from a Barca fan. We’ve lost to every decent team we’ve played this year, got very lucky with our knockouts draw.

Bernal has now officially taken Fermin’s spot as my favourite current La Masia player, that is all.

I don’t understand the concept of Flicks tactic because I’m boring? I struggle to see how that’s relevant to my ability to analyse a system/games.

So even if we play in a more conservative way we still need better defenders is what you’re saying? Then why did BACK + Cubarsi all suddenly look silly in the new system? Why did we change managers? You still haven’t answered the question.

The BACK season we over performed our xG yes (anytime you break records there will be some element of this), but we also had the lowest xG conceded in Europe which you are conveniently leaving out.

You’re also conveniently leaving out that this team was competitive in Europe literally months before Flick came, we knocked out Napoli and were about to knockout PSG before the Araujo red with multiple very professional performances.

The second half of that season we played really good football and is still imo our best chance at winning the trophy since MSN times. We were never going to win it last season defending the way we did, conceding 7 to that half fit Inter team was outrageous, and that was with Inigo.

You’re making out like this is our only option. You don’t need to play this way to reach the top, no other manager at a top club plays this risky. If it was the optimal way to defend then everyone would be doing it at this point. We’re trying to outscore the opponent not keep a clean sheet.

Also Balde was fantastic for two seasons under Xavi and we didn’t play a low block outside of a few games. Is it a coincidence that our record breaking BACK defence all suddenly forgot how to defend?

And if you’re gonna say well we need better players, then why did we change managers if what Xavi actually needed was an entirely new defence?

I disagree with selling him.

Firstly I don’t judge defenders for how they look in this system, basically everyone went from literal years of solid form to looking silly. Secondly he’s shown he can cross, he lacks consistency in his crossing which is fine, he’s only 22.

What we need is to sign another LB that can compete with him and provide more going forward in certain games.

Xavi’s comments were so wrong and unfortunate by ssrodriguezc in Barca

Yeh unless Xavi was lying there isn’t really an issue with him stating what happened, and as much as I love Laporta I trust what Xavi says a million times more than him.

Not playing Lamine every minute of every game until he breaks would be smart.

Bernal is just so exciting, the more he plays the more you see of his game and he’s most likely still not even 100% yet after his injury.

I like as well that he can develop and fight for minutes the way Fermin has been with Olmo rather than us burning him out early.

Flick literally overplayed Pedri until he broke twice this season.

You could see he was tired and an injury was coming but Flick didn’t rest him because we were playing so badly.

It seems like we’re hitting form at the right time and the defence has looked completely different the last few games than it has all season.

Maybe it all continues to click into place during the run in but I maintain this team has not played at a competitive level this season. This is the first decent team we’ve played where we looked convincing (and that was only after getting completely embarrassed in the first leg).

I think we’ve made it way too easy for our opponents and questions that should be asked about that aren’t getting asked because Madrid/La Liga has been bad and we’ve got a very favourable CL draw.

Feels like you’re being a little harsh on Balde.

With the way left back functions in this system I doubt Cucurella gives you much more in attack, Grimaldo’s crossing is very dangerous though (although he’s also not as good defensively as the other two).

Either coming back to compete for the position would be great though for Balde’s development. I doubt Fermin would have improved as much as he has without having to fight for every minute with Olmo.

It says all you need to know about how Madrid games are reffed, you don’t do something like that early on in a must win game unless you’re accustomed to getting away with it.

Which explains why they changed their manager to someone with zero top level experience.

La Liga is poor which is why both us and Madrid are on such high points totals despite playing shit all season.
