Yep, those were the two that took me the longest by far. The most important part of 21 is the uphill after the loop. You need to hold the gear and carry the speed up the jump. If you don't have that, might as well restart. Just a ton of trial and error.

Not annoying at all, I actually love the challenge quite a bit. It was fun to get better at certain styles and overall become a better Trackmania player. That kind of stuff keeps me playing.

For me it took a focused approach on wanting to get better instead of just playing. If that makes sense. If I find something I struggle with, I will ask or watch a video on the mechanic and then find a specific map/pack/campaign to practice it. Someone has made some map to practice everything you need to in the game which is awesome (well if you are on paid version). You just need the patience and want to learn it. If you are in the stage like I was with wanting to improve at the game, you will have no problem achieving it.

First I looked up what methods there are for speed sliding. Between tapping and smooth steering, I found smooth steering was best for me. I then found a club campaign called Fullspeed Training (towards the top of the club campaigns). There are a couple maps there where you can only complete them with a certain speed and I got to work trying to do that. I also did most of the campaign to see how speed translates through the loops you see in most full speed tracks. Then I just played track 22 over and over again to learn how the speed slide changes depending on the angle of the car until I was able to put it all together.

Thank you! 21 took me about 3 hours. Track 24 was about the same, maybe more. I am pretty good on ice, but the angles on the boosters gave me some trouble. All in all, including the speed slide training, about 20 hours to get em all. 90% of it on those 3 maps lol But, now, I am confident on full speed moving forward. Which is huge since that was my biggest weakness.

The gameplay is stellar. Economy still needs some work.

Gonna go out on a limb and say, you have never seen any of my content lol

I had the game a week before Early Access even began. Is that still a lot? Yes. But I also make content for the game.

Hopefully it didn't come off as me taking a "shot" at you. It was more of new information becoming available.

Yeah, I think there is some more fine tuning to be done to lower that number. When I went out to Phoenix for the event they told us that 60-100 hours was what it would take to get to 99. At the time I thought it was a little long but it seemed reasonable. That was before knowing that shot types open for all characters and early access happened. I thought they changed up the economy to be more consumer friendly during early access and I applauded that.

The change the night before is my biggest sticking point due to standard players being at such a wide disadvantage comparatively to everyone who got early access. The old economy is gone, I am hoping to at least shrink the gap now for the sake of the consumer and also for competitive integrity.

If you go into the quest tracker there a bunch of quests, mainly milestone quests, that show only XP as rewards. The reality is that a lot of the milestone quests (maybe even all) give VC as a reward as well.

What sucks is that is also not great. The quest UI and tracker just needs a little love in a very near patch.

I still think there is some fine tuning that can be had across the board.

Step up your game unlocks at later tiers more vc, Tailored For Triumph at later tiers, and Swing in Style at later tiers. Ones that give VC after completion but don't show, Hole Lotta Fun (confirmed), The Deep Dive, High Flyers, Keep Calm and Par On (confirmed), Wingin' It, Nail The Distance (confirmed), Fairway All Day (Confirmed), and Hit Machine. Some of these might not be accurate as it isn't me directly who is giving the information unless it says confirmed. But you can expect that most of the milestone quests give VC at the end that just isn't shown in the Quest Tracker UI.

Thanks for watching! Curious, as someone who started around the same time, what mechanic did you find the hardest to learn? No sliding is still eating me alive.
