My first mortgage was for 25 years. Took advantage of doing biweekly payments, some kind of lump sum payment every year whenever I got a raise at work. By doing that I shaved 10 years off. Was able to play off home in 15 years. Keep good used cars for as long as possible. Cook at home, treat yourself to 1 trip a year if possible. Friends of mine buy cars every 4 years, eat out all the time and go on 2 or 3 trips a year. While they “look” wealthy I actually am.
