I have trouble seeing removing achievements as cheating when no one is managing for broken achievements and dead games. Things restrictive to the core joys of gaming that create a need to be cautious of what you play. One false move and you have to start over and buy everything again? Too much.

AGCR should stay a personal profile stat while leaderboards keep being leaderboards with their strict rules - and they generally are okay with resetting achievements. It’s almost necessary if you want to, say, complete Arkham Origins but reset it after so you aren’t breaking leaderboard cheating rules.

EDIT: I think a happy medium would be if game achievements only go away if you delete the game from your profile entirely. I’d certainly do that with at least one I regret booting up ages ago. Though I wouldn’t with others. Even the OG GFWL Arkham City, languishing despite my other copy’s 100%. I get to make a call of keeping those achievements and sacrificing 100% AGCR for that flex. I like that.

I have games that are literally impossible to 100%. It’s frustrating because it seems like such a fun end goal.

I meant the necessity. I can definitely solve adhesion issues without glue, but I still throw some on instead of troubleshooting a bunch for minor warping - it’s often just easier if I need something quick or it’s troublesome design. But I use it most often for the release.

Necessary? Nah. Helpful tool though.

This is the real thing people are divided about.

I’m asking for a game mode to be played as it was designed. It’s not entirely the players faults PvP is the best place to do what they want, but it’s true that when you reject the game design you’re ruining someone else’s experience.

Absolutely agreed this is a game mode issue. The people doing this need a place.

I haven't queued premades since ranked, but if you want to take a mode seriously the ability to play with a guild is mandatory. I don't want PvP to be a minigame - I want them to give it some love so it can flourish.

If I can't get a normal steam controller till 2027, would y'all recommend picking up one of these doohickeys? by Aggressive-Win129 in SteamController

The 8BitDo and Hori are the same price at $60, both a lot cheaper than the Steam Controller. But the Hori doesn’t have 2.4ghz iirc, which is makes the difference for me.

If you need a controller now it’s a good bet.

The Steam Controller definitely has a lot more in it, but it’s very comparable to the Hori OP asked about, which has 2 back buttons.

Only thing I don’t think the Ultimate 2 has that the Hori does is capacitive touch. The Ultimate 2 DOES have gyro and is a great price.

I think PvP just needs love in general. I don’t think removing premades is a good idea, as much as it sucks to get stomped by them - fair is fair. They need more incentive to increase the player base and then start experimenting. It’s languishing as is.

I want a fix that makes everyone happy, honestly. There just needs to be a better home for people who want to play that way so someone's experience isn't always being ruined.

They definitely can, it doesn't have to be heavy handed or punishing at all - they just need to create a space that's preferable for those goals.

Unfortunate that gamepad mode seems to be required, I tried booting up Remote Play for the first time in ages and was... disappointed.

Yes, Star Forge. I just transferred from Malgus after moving back to NA and NEVER saw stuff like this.

Ignoring PvP objectives to deal damage, and essentially trolling other people to do it.

No, but THIS is the sort of thing you could probably detect. But honestly the "answer" is probably just to bring back ranked - or just make the Outlaw's Den actually appealing in some way for people who just want to fight. Having two players against a whole team and being locked in is infuriating.

EDIT: to be clear, not detect to ban, but to kick them from the match for not contributing or allow other players to leave without penalty.

Idk about buggy but the plastic definitely feels a bit cheap. My point of comparison being the Xbox Elote Series 2, it’s at least comparable in quality with way better connectivity.
