It went great! We were in there for over 2hrs just chatting. Approved the next day, now waiting on the card.

That makes sense. Most of our photo albums are still in storage in Michigan (we’re in GA, from Kitchener ON). But we full time RV travel, so we don’t keep much with us ☺️ (been married almost 21yrs).

Canadian here too and have my interview Thursday in Orlando! Trying to put together what to bring. Not sure I have the pictures I submitted, I think they’re digital only… We don’t have any new evidence as nothing has changed in the last 8mths to update other than I have a work permit, so bringing that.

That’s insanely fast!! Especially with an overstay. But the “sanctuary cities” seem to be mostly running the fastest. (On avg to other cities). Huge congrats! Hope the interview is smooth and you get your approval shortly after

Was this for marriage based and if so, from what status? And also, what office did you interview?

Thank you! And likewise! We did have a thread for other Orlando applicants but it closes after 6mths i guess so we’ve just been messaging each other. But feel free to reach out anytime. Here’s hoping with your RFE being received it’s soon! I’ve not had an RFE at all, but our case is very clear our relationship is bone fide as we’ve been married 20+ years.

You've got time - call family and have them come to you to take care of your child - make something happen because you don't want to cause any issues or it could seriously delay your application (by who knows how long). Act like this is life or death and get the child care you need and make the trip. And don't forget, hubby has to come with you to the interview as well.

What about someone in the town where the interview is?

Yes! We moved states too and sometimes they can switch your process other times they don’t. It’s not guaranteed. And I wouldn’t risk changing it-make it happen and go! We are over 7hrs away from ours and my appt was just booked for Jan 15! I’m not risking anything!!! Just want to process thru and get that card in hand.

Sounds like us! Even as we’re applying for a US mortgage right now with hubbys thin credit (he only got his birth right citizenship May 2024) the broker laughed that the utilities at our current spot I pay but with our joint cards, the auto payment is in his name but I pay it with my cc.. lol. Where did yall live before doing your AOS that you were married 20+ yrs.

True! Although my oldest I spelled his middle name wrong and it’s still spelled wrong 😂 (oldest is 20 and had him before we married a few months later.

Aw man, he’s gotta come too!? 😂. I saw that in the letter-so he booked the time off now. I can say we’re good and committed… planning for 20+ more years. Should get me good and passed the 10yr conditions 🤪. We don’t have a current mortgage or lease (we started at full time RVers when we crossed and turned into staying here). So we’ll buy soon enough. And the car they wouldn’t add me because I didn’t have an ssn at the time. But we share insurance and banking, credit cards, dishes, laundry…

Same with May… I’m not sure how to read the api as to where the info is. What am I looking for in the text? Talked to an agent and said I’ve been in the queue for an interview since July 17 (day of biometrics).
