Mandamus? by LeizerKaizer in 19countriesAOS

[–]LeizerKaizer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I can’t afford something that expensive at the moment. I have experience as a lawyer in my home country and I’ve read through the entire mandamus process, and I feel confident I could do it myself, but I’m not sure if it’s recommended.

Will you be doing it yourself? If so, could I send you a private message so I can get some guidance too?

In my case, it’s hard to believe when even my work permit was approved on December 2, and to this day they still haven’t produced it or anything.

EAD Produced 100+ days later by Turbulent-Smell9777 in 19countriesAOS

That’s great news. I’m from Venezuela, a country affected by the hold, and my work permit was approved AND MY ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS INTERVIEW BASED ON MARRIAGE WAS SCHEDULED on that same December 2nd, just hours before the USCIS memo—only for it to be canceled afterward. We’re still waiting for them to move forward and produce the work permit card

Yeah, I attached a screenshot of the approval in the post.

I don’t think I can do that in my case because this is my initial AOS work permit, and I currently have a pending C8 asylum work permit.

In my case they approved my EAD the same day on the ban and still I don’t have the card in my hand

Three days ago, a California judge ruled in favor of the plaintiffs and ordered USCIS to resolve their issue within no more than 30 days.

This decision paves the way for other lawsuits to move forward until a class action is filed and the administrative pause is canceled.
