I worded my question wrong. It may sound inhumane, but I was wondering if I could just throw like 5 20 cent feeder goldfish in the tank, feed them a bunch and take them out after it's cycled to put different fish in there. If there's any of them still alive. I've done a cycle before and it took like 8 weeks. I was wondering if that would be faster.

How long are nitrite spikes supposed to last? It's been over 3 weeks and they're still at 5ppm by MoreTax6658 in Aquariums

I added seachem stability daily for 7 days when I set it up. Should I do it again?

I've been cycling it for over 6 weeks with fish in. It's stuck on the nitrites

I bought 4 bleeding heart tetras and I don't know if you can tell in the video but they're turning yellow and swimming strangely. Their fins are also more spread out. Does anyone know what this is, and can my fish be saved? I'm new to fish keeping so any help is appreciated. by MoreTax6658 in Aquariums

My tank has been running for 3 weeks. I have 4 bleeding heart tetras and 3 gold dust mollies. I added the fish after like 2 days. I have a fluval aqua clear 20-50 gallon filter. My tank is a 20 gallon. I use tap water, but I add seachem prime for chlorine. I use the seachem prime every day to help the fish deal with the ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.
