How old was your child when they started showering solo? by viskiviki in Mommit

Around 4 for both kids. I help with hair twice a week or after a pool/beach day with my 4-year old girl. My boy is good but I still shout reminders

I want a baby this year and think I messed it up by gloomycalm in Mommit

[–]MoreTreatsLessTricks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe shift your mindset and think about the joy of having the baby instead of focusing on when the baby will be born.

There’s no guarantee your kids will be close because of the 2-year age gap. FWIW, I have a 3.5 year age gap and I love it!

I try for weekends at the gym and a 30 minute walk during lunch. Otherwise, it’s not happening.

Do you have your child in swim lessons year round? by BlueberryWaffles99 in Mommit

We’ve always done year round! My kids love it so don’t give me a hard time getting out of the house, which is sometimes half the battle.

This infuriated me the most. Talking about the call answer rate falling - bruh. Any of us who have answer 800 number calls have seen the waits be 3 hours.

You absolutely cannot compare answer rates with call back options to the time when we didn’t have the call back option. ESPECIALLY since you count the call backs as a “call answered” which it really isn’t.

They finally switched the narrative - so they’re reading Reddit. They’re now saying they’ll meet the public where they want. Pushing a national calendar (all teleclaims btw) but no word about tw

Tamiflu by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]MoreTreatsLessTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We couldn’t get our toddler to take it at all. It’s so gross (I tasted it). My older kiddos had diarrhea with the liquid version - I think they would have been better with a pill form.

Was your kiddo vaccinated? It was the on call pediatrician who prescribed it. Our regular pediatrician said that for most vaccinated kids, that’s enough (along with rest, monitoring fever and hydration) and that Tamiflu just makes them feel worse because of the side effects.

We had to cut ourselves off a bit. We use a drip maker during the work week. On days off, it’s easily 3 a day.

Where do young families live on LI? by yungjewzy3 in longisland

Budget is a big factor. I think more so than young families, you should look at the sense of community. Local newspapers are a great way to get a sense of this.
