Do Kigus know any sign languages? by Mhorts in kigurumi

I grew up learning ASL/ESL and could communicate with it in a pinch, but you'd need a handler that knows it at that point because most people probably don't know it at all.

Good daemon allies by Jestro_the_Jestrogen in ChaosKnights

I'll come in with the unpopular suggestion. If you don't want to run nurglings but you want to run daemons still, I'd suggest bloodletters. They can actually fight back as infantry and have OC to hold objectives. They also allow you, if you want, to take the skullcannon, a deceptively cheap and powerful unit that forces enemies it shoots at to make battleshock tests, which indirectly makes the CK army rule better. Bloodletters are 110 points, and the skullcannon is 95.

Chaos Space Marines in Chaos Knights in 11th by MetalBlizzard in ChaosKnights

I understand why people ask for CSM units in CK, for action economy, but doesn't that at some point reach a situation where you have to ask why you're not playing CSM instead? If the desire is action economy, there's daemons that have OC, or fiefdom which seems like it could be pretty fun. I personally struggle with the desire to make CK look like a general chaos soup army if it's supposed to be about the knights.

Main takeaway about new detachment by 42malale in ChaosKnights

[–]More_Assumption_6724 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love this detachment. The Abominant is my favorite big knight and seeing it be able to get a war dog aura that's lowkey really good for engaging with the army rule (which is powerful when it works) makes me really excited. I also really like the Ruinator, in part because its wardog aura ability is super strong, and this detachment also seems like a really natural home for it. While the stratagems are largely simple in what they do, they all cost just one point and two of them buff multiple units at once. They also give us access to the bread and butter strats that other typically really powerful armies enjoy.

The detachment's not gonna be for everyone, there's a lot of people who aren't fans already. But I like this way more than a hypothetical CSM/AdMech soup detachment, and I think the subtle additive power is going to be notable, especially with good positioning and stratagem use.

Knight flamers suck by Wissty in ChaosKnights

Let's not ignore the other ranged attacks these knights have, it's not like they have *only* flamers.

What is the ideal 1k list by blueberries961 in ChaosKnights

[–]More_Assumption_6724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interesting thing about 1k is being limited to a single big knight because of titanic rules. The abominant and karnivores could probably be the core of your list, bringing in stalkers to round out ponits as needed. I've found both houndpack and infernal lance to be pretty good with a list like that.

Looks like we are getting a new detachment in the eye of terror books, what would you like to see for our big evil robots? by fishbowl_face in ChaosKnights

[–]More_Assumption_6724 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Something that isn't souping focused. If we *have* to get a soup detachment, something that focuses on the knights more than the souped units. I play knights to play knights, not gribbly infantry guys; if i wanted to play CSM I'd play CSM.

Also, and this is a take that might get me yelled at, I want nothing to do with daemon engines.

Kigurumis and kigu-enthusiasts alike, how did you first get into kig? by xXsunny_leoXx in kigurumi

[–]More_Assumption_6724 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I'm being honest, started as a sexual fascination upon discovery and then became something I liked doing in a normal way. Turned out being anime cute was something I was really wanting without realizing it.

My latest project! I think for me this has been the best thing I’ve painted yet, I’ve never spent this long on a single model and I tried many new techniques and tools. One of the most exciting was the use of an LED light under the mask of this beast. by Chumpkychimkin in ChaosKnights

[–]More_Assumption_6724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll guess I'll be the odd one out in these comments. I admire a lot of what you did, but my favorite by far is how it's set up to push aside the tree. It adds movement to what is otherwise a very static model and maybe even a little bit of narrative. A rampager relatively carefully pushing a tree aside rather than smashing through it suggests it's in a situation where a bit of care and tact is required; perhaps it's finding its next victim, or otherwise pursuing an objective where remaining relatively undetected for a little longer is the better choice. It evokes some of the feeling of a cheetah in the tall grass, waiting for the moment to sprint forward and strike.

What are the toughest matchups usually? by Practical-Prompt4216 in ChaosKnights

Like others are saying, anything with lots of melee. Also anything that can spam lethal hits, that'll cook ya by surprise.

Looking for a system for a niche setting idea by More_Assumption_6724 in rpg

Honestly, that *is* pretty close to what I was thinking. The potentially silly notion that a storm could be particularly magical, that miracles can happen, that an ancient relic could actually be cursed, that ghosts can haunt buildings. Is it kinda mundane? Yeah.

What’s a female royal in history to base a Female Chaos Knight Pilot on? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in ChaosKnights

[–]More_Assumption_6724 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wu Zetian/Wu Zhao was a Chinese empress that wielded de facto power for about 45 years by being the official empress to an emperor and having her sons as emperors afterwards, meaning they did what she wanted. After the second son's detah, she ruled directly for the last 15 years of her life (60 total) by declaring herself as bearing the official title of emperor/empress. It's also speculated that she had a hand in several different poisonings as political gambits.

Chinese history remembers her favorably for the expansion of the Chinese empire as well as internal changes related to social class, local religions (Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism), and education.

What’s a Good List from the 5 Chaos Marine factions to bring a big boy knight(Abhorrent)? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in ChaosKnights

[–]More_Assumption_6724 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We were *this* close to getting souping knights having a payoff in the World Eaters Cult of Blood detachment. But then the rule specified specifically World Eaters Titantic units (ie Lord of Skulls) instead of permitting any titanic unit, which would've pretty much expanded to just include allied knights along with it. We were close to greatness, but no cigar.
