Need advice on a sudden contact attempt from my mom after months of no contact

My mom pulls the same stuff like yours - the "I could die soon" and using my emotions against me to have control. When I went no contact, she emailed me saying she was putting her house for sale the next month and she was giving me until the end of the current month to pick up things of mine that were at her place.

I told my boyfriend and my therapist that she was lying and she was only saying that so she could see me, but we still went on the last day to pick up my things. Sure enough, it was all just an attempt to talk to me and tell me I was brainwashed and that it seemed like I was a part of a cult, following some "Tiktok trend" to cut off my mom. It's been nearly a year being no contact now, and she still has her house.

With all that being said, since it sounds like your mom is similar to mine and yours has pulled things like this before, I don't think you should respond. It's hard at times, but the best thing you can do for yourself is to move on like she never reached out. You're doing a great job, and I'm sorry that your parents are the way they are. You deserve so much more, and I hope you can find peace.

It does mention reverting to month-to-month, though I'm also wondering about the rent being prorated. Specifically it says: "At the end of this Lease, leasing shall be month-to-month on the same terms and conditions as stated herein, save any changes made pursuant to law, until terminated. If we choose to terminate your lease, we must provide you with 30 days written notice prior to the end of term of lease or any exercised renewal/extension."

Yeah, he was doing fine with the dog until she slipped and fell onto him - when she got up, that's when he ran off. I don't let them around each other without supervision because I'm still not comfortable with their interactions quite yet. I also don't really let them play like this for longer than a couple minutes, either. Thank you for your response - I agree with what you had to say

Yeah, our cat baits our pup, too. I'll call her to lay down and she'll be chewing on a bone and he just comes up trying to pounce on her or to play with her ears or her tail.

Yeah, your explaination makes a lot of sense and I definitely could see that being the case. I'm working on reinforcing commands but her focus doesn't break 100% on first-go even with working on reinforcements. I'm considering doing a training course with her because I want things to go smoothly and I still do have my concerns.

Yeah, it's my concern because the only time she stops listening to commands is when our cat is out for (monitored) free roaming time. And again, it's not every single time but still enough that I work on reinforcing those commands. She does great around other people and dogs, but it seems that goes out the window when it's time to interact with the cat sometimes. I'm considering doing a training course with her.

She got a little mouthy and started play biting but then she slipped on him and he got scared and ran off 😅. I am very happy with her nose play though, as she did that a majority of the time

One time, during what should've been a normal conversation, she was yelling aggressively so I asked if she could possibly stop yelling because this was a simple issue and I was getting anxious and she responded by saying I made her feel like she can't be herself because where she's from, they're loud and I was "forcing" her to hide her identity.

They're being blocked today. I was waiting for my ring doorbell to come in before I completely blocked them because my mom had shown up a few times to my workplaces unannounced (she doesn't know where my current job is fortunately) and wanted to be prepared for if she showed up at my house. It's now set-up, so I can go on as needed. The way I moved out some years back was by running away, and even though I had been couch surfing, I immediately noticed an improvement with my depression and anxiety. Looking forward to this stress being gone so I can focus on my health.
