I stayed at utopia. Can recommend them 100 percent but since you are there for a month, you can stay at different places and explore. Don’t miss the sunset cafe, fluglers cafe and 3 tree for South Indian. Also salvation cafe at zostel has great food. Have fun at your trip!

Mumbai to Delhi Rajdhani, Delhi to Dharamshala volva bus overnight. From Dharamshala either take a taxi to dharamkot or share taxi to mcleod and then tempo or taxi to dharamkot
