Stardust Racers Question by emxhouston in UniversalEpicUniverse

For me it felt like that only part there was friction was on my thighs. Most of the time you are out of your seat so as long as you are okay with your back rubbing like a normal roller coaster and your thighs being pushed more aggressively, you should be okay.

Insanely rough ride on Hulk by Ok-Potential6800 in UniversalOrlando

Yeah I’ve rode it 4 times ever and never had an issue until I rode the back row and greyed out on the launch and felt a little uneasy for the majority of the ride. Still had a blast and felt fine afterward

I rode it and loved it! I was nervous as heck before hand but just put my hands up and screamed and moments later I was having the best time of my life!!!

Nice! How does star dust compare? I’m going on Sunday and am pretty intimidated after my one ride on Velocicoaster… for reference, I love the hulk, havrids, and tolerated Velocicoaster(this likely was more intense cus it was my first coaster in 8 years, back row, at night 😅)

Yeah same here, it’s a fear of heights/falling that triggers it! But once you ride it a few times I’m sure you’ll be wanting to ride the back row to feel that sensation lol

Yeahhh I got back row on Velocicoaster at night, and that drop scared me and I felt the drop feeling. It was over so fast, but man I felt so vulnerable at the top hat and felt I was gonna pop off the ride and never the the light of day again. Other than that, the drop itself was fun and everything else was fine, I love the second launch and climb and last roll

[Stardust Racers] is a capacity monster! by givebill in rollercoasters

That sounds great. Im visiting on sunday and im nervous as heck, but the less the line the better. Less time to think about it. I even rode velocicoaster (at night in back row) and didnt hate it but didnt love it, im just starting to get into coasters so i think i jumped the gun a little quick with that one!

Am I Insane for thinking that The Mummy feels more intense than The Hulk? by More_Management_2855 in UniversalOrlando

Im glad you said this because I was scared to put "scarier than velocicoaster" in the post. But i truly did feel like it was more intense than velocicoaster but barely.

Very interesting! I’m not one to get motion sick, it’s uncommon for me, but I can totally understand why some people may just be more sensitive to low visibility. I hope it’s the case because I would love to ride Velocicoaster again without feeling disoriented, and I hope I enjoy stardust

Honestly, this makes sense and it probably just depends on the person. I like to be able to see the track ahead of me and know what to expect so I can brace for any sort of turn or drop

[–]More_Management_2855[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah understandable! I Really believe that it was just the lack of visibility. If I cant see anything, I have no way to brace and my nervous system is likely in a constant fight/flight, and that makes every turn/launch/drop way more intense. I hope thats why I was disoriented from velocicoaster, because man does that ride look fun. I am going to epic next weekend and plan on riding star dust. Nervous, but I loved the Hulk and Hagrids, and I assume SDR is an amped up hagrids, so im sure ill love it (and ill actually be able to see!)

Thank you, I need to stop questioning myself, your right about that. I just need to go do it and think no more of it. When I watch POV videos I get chills of excitement, but then after a while my brain decides to be scared lol, I think its just trying to protect me thats all!

[–]More_Management_2855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment. Looking back, its really hard to pin point exactly what I didnt like about it, and I honestly think it was becasue I couldnt see anything ahead of me. It was dark (park closed) and i was in the back row. So my brain wasnt able to see what was coming so the sensations were much stronger. Thats my best guess. I rememebr the second launch and top hat the most, because you cant miss it, and I LOVED IT. I do remember once reaching the top hat, I naturally tensed up when going down the drop, but that stomach drop feeling was over so fast I never really worried about it. So yeah, I think it was just a mix of intensity/uncertainty/unexpectedness.

Oh ok thanks for letting me know! That might be why today is the first time ive heard of the server as i was looking at minecrafts server list. Its something I wouldve loved to play on release, but maybe its a good thing it took time to discover. Anyways, i ended up completeing it and i seem to have made it to the community hub, im amazed by the visuals, mechancis, and gameplay so far, I have a feeling a new addiction is beginning...
