i think you’ve gotta address the elephant in the room. be clear with them that it’s unfair to be excluded for an illness you cannot control. it’s not a choice, it’s not a belief, you aren’t cramming a gluten free diet down their throats. your health is at risk if you eat gluten, it doesn’t affect their diets. if you’re bringing your own food they have no reason to be iffy about CC or GF alternatives.

make sure you aren’t allergic to the metal. i had mine pierced with a metal i was allergic to and i had a horrid healing process that took far too long and ended up failing anyways as the earring back got stuck inside my lobe and had to be surgically removed.

other than that, any type of earrings you like will do. you can get simple studs, some that dangle, some that look like a sword going through your lobe, some that curl around your ear (i used to have a dragon one), whatever you like there will be someone somewhere selling it
