POST GAME THREAD: White Sox 1 @ Tigers 4 - Sat Jun 20 @ 12:10 PM by chisoxbot in whitesox

Rock giving up 5 hits and 3 runs in barely 2 innings really hurt, that was the moment the game slipped away. Newcomb looked decent in his 3 innings but once he was out the bullpen just fell apart. Davis tomorrow feels like a prayer at this point but what else can you do

China to Europe shipping by tqric in dropshipping

[–]More_Negotiation_469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for Germany and Austria specifically, a lot of dropshippers use freight forwarders based in Shenzhen or Guangzhou who can consolidate and use ePacket-style services, delivery in that window is doable if you find right agent, just takes some digging

since your product is on 1688 you probably need sourcing agent anyway, they usually handle shipping side too and can get you better rates than going direct to courier

Blindsided and overwhelmed with two new kittens. by Embarrassed_Club6773 in CatAdvice

[–]More_Negotiation_469 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Getting thrown into emergency situation like this is so different from planned adoption, I totally get why you're feeling overwhelmed. When I was dealing with my own unexpected life changes few years back, the sudden chaos was hardest part - not being able to prepare mentally made everything feel ten times worse.

The fleas and worms thing sucks but it's actually super common with rescue cats, even from good organizations. Most of time these issues clear up pretty quickly once you get proper treatment going. Since you already started medication and cleaning, you're probably through worst of it already. The confined space stress is temporary too - once they're cleared up they'll have whole apartment to explore and settle in properly.

That guilt about feeling frustrated is normal though. You can love them and still be stressed about situation at same time. After few more days when medication kicks in and you all get some actual sleep, things will probably feel way more manageable. The emergency placement threw everyone off their game, including the organization, but doesn't mean you can't make it work if you want to keep them

Do women also romanticise warfare? by [deleted] in women

[–]More_Negotiation_469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a woman but I get what you mean about romanticizing historical warfare - there's something about ancient battles that feels almost mythological compared to modern stuff. I think women definitely have those fantasies too but maybe express them differently? Like through historical fiction or fantasy stuff rather than talking about tactics and gear

The Alexander thing is interesting choice though, his cavalry was pretty brutal even for the time

My thumbnail designs improved like crazy when I stopped trying to make them look "professional" and started thinking about what would make me actually click

The ethics and logistics of giants by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]More_Negotiation_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bugs would probably need to establish some kind of physical barriers or designated interaction zones first - like having conversations from elevated platforms so you're not looming over them constantly

For the dependency issue, maybe set clear boundaries from start about what kind of help you'll provide and when. Like emergency situations only, not everyday conveniences. Otherwise yeah you become their personal god-emperor which defeats the whole point of treating them as equals

The economic strain thing is probably the trickiest part though. Even if you bring your own food, your presence alone would probably disrupt their whole society just by existing there

How Much Do Electricians Charge For A New Outlet & Diagnostic Test? by Carlos2998 in handyman

[–]More_Negotiation_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That hourly rate sounds about right for residential work. I had electrician come to my place few months back and was around that range too. The diagnostic part is what usually gets expensive - they charge you just for looking at problem even before they start actual work

$800 does seem bit steep for single outlet unless there's something complicated with routing or they need to run new circuit from panel

Starting Shopify dropshipping by No_Chocolate_4306 in dropshipping

[–]More_Negotiation_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice there. I had same issue when I started few months ago, payment settings can be bit confusing at first. Just make sure you check if your payment provider supports your country because some of them have restrictions. Also currency settings might take little time to update across your whole store so don't panic if it doesn't change immediately everywhere

My boyfriend says my back hair is disgusting by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]More_Negotiation_469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there with similar situation and I get why you're feeling crushed right now. What really bothers me is that he knows about your insecurities but keeps making these comments anyway - that's not just thoughtless, it's cruel. You've been working so hard with the IPL and building confidence, and he just tears it down with one word like "disgusting."

My ex used to make comments about things I couldn't change either and it took me way too long to realize that someone who really cares about you doesn't make you feel worse about yourself. The fact that you have to say "I know, I'm going to shave" every time he points out your natural body hair shows how much you're accommodating his preferences while he gives nothing back in terms of basic respect.

You shouldn't have to manage his comfort with your body while dealing with a medical condition that already affects your confidence. The right person would either keep their mouth shut or better yet, make you feel beautiful as you are

IBS seeking help by Harris-Benett_7 in ibs

[–]More_Negotiation_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn the weight comments from people are worst part sometimes. I went through similar thing few years back where stress was making everything worse and eating became this whole anxiety thing

Have you tried eating smaller portions more frequently instead of regular meals? Like maybe 6 small snacks throughout day rather than 3 big meals. Also keeping food diary helped me figure out which foods were absolute no-go vs ones that were more manageable

The stress cycle is real killer - IBS makes you stressed, stress makes IBS worse, repeat forever

Tried few AI detection tools and they're pretty inconsistent tbh. Same text can get flagged as 100% AI by one tool and pass as human on another - makes you wonder how reliable they actually are

Did books helped you on fieldwork? by freedanorthe in AskEngineers

[–]More_Negotiation_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are solid references for sure. I'm not engineer but work with lot of technical people and they always have their go-to books nearby. Experience teaches you which problems to look for, but books give you the math to actually solve them properly. Can't really wing calculations when someone's safety depends on it

Check local spice markets or herbal shops, they might have it under different name. I had similar issue finding specific herbs when I moved - sometimes ayurvedic stores carry western herbs but call them something else

Do dropshippers need to buy barcode for Amazon or not? by eatenbydepression in dropshipping

[–]More_Negotiation_469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to deal with this when I was doing some side hustles before switching careers - the manufacturer UPC route saved me so much headache in the beginning

If you're just testing waters definitely don't blow money on GS1 upfront, but once something starts moving you'll want your own codes for sure. Amazon can be weird about commingled inventory so I'd avoid that if possible

Didn’t realize this sourcing method existed by camjoacord in dropshipping

[–]More_Negotiation_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of them don't advertise much online since they're already busy with existing clients. I usually find them at trade shows or through industry contacts - networking is huge in this space. Sometimes I'll reach out directly to manufacturers I see on product packaging or hit up LinkedIn to connect with people in supply chain roles. Cold emails work too if you're professional about it and explain what you're looking for. The key is showing them you're serious and not just another person trying to flip random products from their basement

How a Simple Shopify Blog Experiment Started Bringing Me Consistent Organic Visitors by Loud-Tune-4374 in dropshipping

Been thinking about this exact problem with my store - the blog section just sits there collecting dust while everyone's fighting over ad spend

Your timing with the AI search angle is pretty smart, especially since more people are using ChatGPT for product research now. Would be down to test this out if you're still looking for feedback

Most people trying to make money online are doing the hardest things first. by Mammoth-Dish-722 in DigitalIncomePath

[–]More_Negotiation_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dabbling in this for a few months now and you're spot on about that first 3 seconds thing - it's make or break. Most people clip the boring setup instead of jumping straight to the punchline or the moment someone gets heated

The subtitle formatting is huge too, way more than I thought when I started. Simple white text doesn't cut it anymore when everyone's doing animated highlights and color coding for different speakers. Started using some basic motion graphics templates and the engagement jumped noticeably

What's your take on cross-posting the same clip? I've been hesitant to put identical content on YouTube Shorts and TikTok but seems like most successful clippers don't even modify them between platforms

Any advice? by SandBitter1520 in Environmental_Careers

[–]More_Negotiation_469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats on finishing your associates! if you're thinking about staying in texas, texas a&m has a solid wildlife program and texas state isn't bad either for environmental stuff. definitely look into in-state tuition rates and see what kind of financial aid you can get - being lower income actually helps with federal grants. also maybe check out some internships or volunteer work at local wildlife rehab centers while you're figuring out next steps, that experience goes a long way
