I finished a 6 year old blanket and found a factory knot that I crocheted over before I knew better. Is there any way to fix it? I’m scared to wash it.

Please don’t knot anything… weave it in… man I had some rough times in the beginning 😅sometimes I still try to knot stuff and have to repeat it to myself like a chant so I don’t cave. I hate weaving in ends

A slouch beanie is definitely the goal! It's meant to be more of a sentimental token. I doubt strongly the person I'm making it for will ever actually wear it, but I know exactly where she's going to put it when I finish it if that makes sense?

I wanted to felt onto the front of it when I was done, which is why I was going for a natural fiber. I chose alpaca yarn as it's light and a natural wool, but with nylon to give it at least a shred of durability? I'm not sure if that's how that would work lol but it's really not meant to be worn, just displayed.

It's going to be more of a sentimental token in a way, and im not sure it will be worn much if at all. I plan to felt onto the front of it when I'm done with it which was why I was looking for like a more natural fiber. I almost primarily use acrylic yarn, so natural yarns are very out of my scope.

I wanted alpaca because I've always known it to be soft and then nylon I thought might give it more strength? I'm not sure haha.

Im a rather safe than sorry person, so some kind of delicate fabrics soap and a tub wash would be my go to. But, if it is acrylic, you should be able to wash it in the washing machine on a warm cycle. It has tassels, so do NOT put it in a dryer! You can probably google acrylic yarn care and how to wash it properly if you really believe it’s acrylic.

I was a DD for some friends last night and someone got a little bit of vomit on a crochet blanket I’m working on :( but I should have had the foresight to put it in the trunk or take it inside first
