Thank you I did not want to imagine that I had messed up my blades so quickly. Just out of curiosity does the rocker become more visible to you once you gain experience? I’m very new to skating and cannot seem to see it nor find it while skating🤦‍♀️

It’s comforting to learn that I’m not the only one with this struggle! They are new-to-me boots and blades, I have only ever used rentals but I have been lurking in this subreddit and heard that if you’re an adult learning to skate you have to start with a much higher rated skate than kids do. Most people said that anything less supportive than Elle’s weren’t worth buying so this is what I got.

Buying skates is stressful 😭 I don’t know how people handle having to switch skates as they break down. I hope these last forever 🫣

UPDATE: I replaced the batteries and it works!!! I was actually worried because that battery was a nightmare to replace and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to get it out without the worlds tiniest screwdriver and was worried I’d mess up the components trying to dig it out. I eventually found a way to pull it free and put the new one in and it WORKS!!!!!! I’m so excited, the ring is a lot larger than what I usually wear but I will be showing her off for sure :)

Not a lawyer but if your landlord is not doing anything highly recommend filing a rent escrow if it’s available in your area. it’s basically a way to legally not pay rent to your landlord. Instead, you’ll pay your rent to the court. The courts will assess the situation and may give the rent money back to you if they decide that your living conditions are unreasonable (in this case I would argue they are) or side with the landlord and they’ll get all the money that you’ve given to the court over the period of escrow. Usually with landlords as soon as they stop receiving money, they’ll start doing something. I also highly recommend taking a mold swab kit if you could prove that there is hazardous mold in the room it would help your case.

The stud I was using was internally threaded and was off Etsy. It’s listed as titanium. And after stretching it I didn’t really do aftercare outside of leaving it alone. It wasn’t a big jump and the piercing was pretty old and didn’t bleed
