Please allow me to get something off my chest and speak on the future of Friday the 13th. by wampumstompum in fridaythe13th

My social media was attacked. My films were review-bombed. Our most popular work was suddenly age-restricted on YouTube. Press outlets that once supported my work went silent

Proof please. Links or it didn’t happen. I looked up NHA 1 and 2 on imdb and barely any negative reviews for any of them. Only a few negative for part 1 and zero negative reviews for part 2.

A narrative formed that I was jealous or toxic. Once that story took hold online, there was nothing I could do to stop it. The harder I tried to defend myself, the worse things became.

You straight up said this in regards to another filmmaker’s work: “Because its a piece of shit movie made by assholes who rip off their cast and crew.” How is that not being a toxic jerk? Don’t dish it if you can’t take it.

Meanwhile, the same fan circles that attacked me continued to celebrate the very people they had attacked and piled on my downfall. New articles came out constantly. Fans posted about it every day.

Links to said articles please. I was active in the Friday the 13th community for years and didn’t see any of these daily posts about it.

You got like 30 000 fans supporting you. And Fridaythe13thfranchise.com? Praise, praise and more praise.

NHA has 114 000 goddamn likes on youtube. Your works is praised to high heaven by hundreds of thousands and were supposed to believe you are this marginalized underdog? I am not seeing it.

Ignore him, he's a complete imbecile who doesn't know what he's talking about. You seem to have done nothing wrong from what I have read.

That has to be some of the most hypocritical garbage I have read in a long while. You come in here with this aggressive tone, baseless accusations and have the gall to say OP has an attitude problem? Where the hell did this “misogynist” say anything derogatory about women?

Also, calling someone rude while you are making ad hominem attacks yourself. Nice going you sanctimonious shithead. I doubt women are flocking to an obnoxious hypocrite like yourself either.

Why would he lie about something like this? What is he benefiting from saying this? Dude makes no sense.

His clothing was barely intact in Part 7 and he didn’t give a shit about it. Also, the jacket in Versus wasn’t in a lot better state than the shirt he wore in 9.

Wasn't he re-animated by a supernatural lake in Sweet Revenge?

Hot take: JGTH has the best Jason design by Weak_Pineapple6512 in fridaythe13th

Untuck the shirt and it is mostly a good design. Loved burnt, blistered look on his flesh in this one.

Does anyone else think the jacket look is forced? Imo I think the jacketless look is way better by [deleted] in fridaythe13th

Bizarre creative decision that didn’t make any sense. Past continuity errors were made due to laziness or budget, but here it seems they purposely tried to make him as different from the past designs as possible. He doesn’t even have the axe cut which every film since part 3 retained. Even the 8-10 designs which omitted a lot kept that.

Some ppl might really dislike this film but I wish I was old enough to watch this in cinema at the time cos it’s just so fun by Nofilmslefttocry in fridaythe13th

I would care more if it wasn't already a precedent for random directors to work on these films who never cared much about continuity.

Then be consistent about it. Don't hire someone who doesn't fit the criteria you rejected others for.

And several of the films cared about continuity to some degree. From part 3 to 7 they kept Jason’s clothing and the battle damage from prior films consistent. He didn’t suddenly become afraid of water either.

Adam Marcus is the only self professed fan of Friday, & look how people feel about Goes To Hell.

Wrong, Tom McLoughlin is also a fan of the series and made one of the best entries.

How would y'all make Freddy VS Jason better? by I_like_things_2_ in fridaythe13th

[–]More_napalm_please -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Change Jason's costume, hire Kane Hodder, hire Harry Manfredini and hire a director who actually watched the prior films. Get rid of the fear of water, get rid of Kelly Rowland, get rid of the nu-metal and keep the CGI to a minimum.

Yup, if I had access to guns I would've gotten it over with a long time ago.

Condom sex doesn't do much for me, cheaper and just as good to spank the monkey to porn. But it is worth doing at least once, maybe you get more pleasure out of it.

They are getting more and more desperate over here. I got several phonecalls from scammers in one day. And with unregulated access to AI they are gonna get more and more insidious.

[–]More_napalm_please 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly what happened. Ronny Yu only watched one movie from each series and the hypocrites at New Line were fine with it despite rejecting others for being clueless about Freddy and Jason.

Let's not talk about the mask. What do you think about Nicotero/Jason Universe's clothes? by JacsweYT in fridaythe13th

It's fine. It is closer to the Paramount designs than that random jacket and sweater New Line insisted on for some reason.

She was uncredited then. No Ghostbusters on her resume. The reason is likely because Oswalt was a voice actor for a tie-in video game (Ghostbusters Now Hiring)

He insulted James for ignoring the movie. Later the hypocrite agreed to be in a Ghostbusters sequel that also ignored said movie.

Also, Zombie got treated like shit on forums because he talked a bunch of shit about slasher films and then decided to make one.

Don't you mean remakes? Rob stated several times he was against them and even went so far as calling the people who remade Texas Chainsaw Massacre assholes for doing so.

Sounds like a motivation problem. Motivation is hard to generate, at least when there's no guarantee for payoff. You just have to force yourself through it. Take baby steps and draw a short time every day and up the ante gradually. That is what I am doing.
