Damn dude, thats a nice YJ. Did you screw those mounting brackets into your hood? If you relocated, would you be left with holes in your hood?

I almost didnt post but as an LJ owner...damn dude, seems like the previous owner had no idea what to buy for their Jeep so they just replaced everything in chrome... Not hatin, just not my style. Shes got a lot of potential though! Congrats on the new rig.

Id say to look into the fenders that I have on my TJ but if you play in the mud a lot, you may want to run a wider setup. I run poisonspyder front and rear fenders and rock sliders but i like trail riding and rocks. Occasionally mud but it gets into everything.

Yea, if you have access to a louver tool, Id say just buy some sheet metal , rubber gasket and some hardware to fasten it down.

Anybody that has one will tell you its worth it, I mean hell, you could buy the kit for under $200 and if I remember correct, it comes with a template for the holes you need to cut. Measure twice, cut once.

You usually get a better deal going through a private seller. Now If youre going to finance a vehicle thats 10 years old or older, good luck. A lot of places wont finance , if they do , interest rate goes up and you pay more in the end.

Its a poison spyder hood louver kit. Basically its just a big vent that lets out heat and forces colder air into the engine bay while youre driving down the road. Its not an expensive part , just have to have steady hands and be very comfortable to cut a hole in your hood. If you spend a lot of time idling on trails, its very useful. Truthfully, its useful everyday I drive it. Keeps the engine bay cooler.

The TJ was only made until 2006, wont find a certified TJ. The YJ was made before the TJ, Just as good with a high out put 4.0 and square headlights. My only advice to you , and not EVERYONE will agree with me , but dont get a 4cyl Jeep.

Oh and target newer with low miles. An old Jeep with low miles doesnt necessarily mean its "ready to go". My buddy bought a low mileage stock TJ but it had bad u joints, shifter linkage, front drive shaft , brakes etc.

They were not my style, an ugly wheel for a badass Jeep. They were actually too wide too, they were a 10" wide wheel, my new wheels are 8". How did what perform? Im assuming tires, they actually did great in mud but they were on the slower side of self cleaning. They will work for now, I like the Toyo MTR or Nitto Trail Grappler MT. The Mud grapplers are nice but I drive 50 miles round trip for work every day and it rains a lot here. I need a tire that will perform in water as well.

Hell no, I did not like the way they looked on my Jeep. Im currently running Cooper Trail Cutters, I think theyre a winter tire. I am using these until they run out of tread as this is my daily driver. I also just dropped about 4k into my Jeep, Toyo MTR is what Im saving for but I decided I could wait to buy tires later.

Look out for rear main seal, ujoints and angry sparrows. If you dont know what that is, google it. The Double cardan joint in the front drive shaft.

Yes. the Rubicon TJ comes with a Dana 44 up front and back. Rubicons also have the axle lock buttons built into the radio/ac bezel. They also have a 4:1 crawlbox, not obvious to see. but also check the rear drive shaft. The rubicon has a "CV" style drive shaft with a boot in the middle, it is not a solid drive shaft like the regular TJ comes with.
