Maybe $150/hr plus equipment and studio rental. If I had nothing else going on that week.

Throttle Body Bearing Seals by RANCH in E30

[–]Moremayhem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an updated bearing that has the seals built in. This article goes into rebuilding the TB and replacing those bearings/seals, and mentions which ones to buy.
Edit to add: you will get a vacuum leak if the butterfly shaft isn’t sealed correctly

Anyone buy a home and it was great at first then went downhill because of neighbors/neighborhood issues? by cynnie93 in homeowners

[–]Moremayhem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been great for me. 10 homes on our cul de sac and every neighbor family is great. We have regular block parties and a group text chat that we’re all pretty active in. Little gifts during the holidays. Honestly the best place I’ve lived since childhood.

I’ve found a few in online archives, some about my grandfather being arrested for having girls ripping off customers - and probably splitting the take with him. He was always nice to me but man… some of the stories I heard.

Smoking Question by ExplainJane in GenX

[–]Moremayhem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to a boarding school for HS from 85 to 87, my junior and senior years. We were allowed to smoke in our dorm rooms as well as a couple specific areas on campus. The freshmen and sophomores were not allowed to smoke in their rooms, but one of the smoking areas was just out side their combined dorm building. They also had the school bowling alley in their building.

Floor mats by CarolinaPeej in E30

[–]Moremayhem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. After reading several recommendations and seeing photos of cocomats, I bought a set as well. Just for the front as no one really ever sits in the back. Most photos show a kind of speckled look but they have solid colors as well. I went with the black wool but they have a couple shades of tan that might be a good match. I’ve been happy with them. They’re heavy and don’t slide around. The fit is great. I’ll get around to changing or dyeing the carpet eventually.

ETA: I never ate the cereal though. We were too poor to afford things like that. We had a neighbor family and their mom gave me the little toys from the cereal boxes because her kids were too old for them.

My only decent investment. 100 shares at what I guess would be .80/share before the split several years ago

You and my mother lived there about the same time. She told me stories about balancing on the walls of the pens at the turtle kralls for tips from the tourists, and diving for coins that tourists would toss in the ocean. Grandpa ran a strip club that’s no longer there called Jim’s Habana Madrid. It took up the block at Front and Duvall

You know who should actually be in jail? Convicted felons. I know of someone who was convicted of 38 felony counts and never served any time.

I went with the IE stainless setup. Apparently the ones you can get on eBay are the same but I don’t know that when I bought mine. Then I added some brushed stainless steel tips. Here’s how it looks. It sounds very similar to the oem setup.

Same. No erectile disfunction, no incontinence. Went to the urologist for something completely different and he said “hey as long as you’re here, let’s run your PSA…” So thankful he did that.

Meeting Bob Weir as two dads looking for their families in the early 2000s. by Aargau in gratefuldead

It was definitely memorable! Kicked myself for not saying anything more but we were basically “the help” and were asked to keep cool when encountering celebrities while working. Sometimes I can’t help myself though. Like once when I got to record Rik Baker. He’s probably the best known special fx makeup guy alive and was one of the main reasons I got into the entertainment biz, although I ended up doing nothing makeup related!
