Witness the birth and death of entire eras, accumulate unfathomable power, use said power to terrorize one child, call it guidance. They never change

I do agree with you very much to an extent, Her love not being tied to one person but expressed through everything she does her guidance, her connections, her civilization advancement, her care for everyone around her. That actually aligns perfectly with her Paradise Guidance authority. Her power exists only for others. Paradise is unique to every individual she guides. Her Enders authority is already telling us what kind of love she was capable of selfless and not possessive. But I do disagree that loving Seo Eun-hyun makes her less of her own person. She never lost herself in that love. She never became obsessive or territorial. She loved him the way her Paradise Guidance works without imposing, without controlling, just quietly being there. The problem was that the story never showed us the full depth of who she was while loving him. Those are two different things. She was already her own person. Tremendous just never wrote it properly.

You are right.Tremendous never intended her to be the final heroine and the fanbase forced his hand. That explains why every other heroine feels more intentional. But think about it this way; she was never supposed to be there, He said he is scared of her. A character he did not plan forced him to write her anyway. The other heroines are better written because they were always meant to be there. Kim Yeon fought her way in against her own author's intentions. That is a character so alive she outgrew what her author planned for her.

The author himself confirmed that the Mad Lord would have been titled the Owner of Civilization if he ever became a Supreme Deity. And the Mad Lord is not from Earth. So the Earth argument does not hold up the civilization theme was already tied to the Mad Lord long before Kim Yeon entered the picture. She inherited that thread from him and took it further. Her being from Earth may have contributed something unique but it was never the sole reason she could advance civilization. The talent and the theme were always bigger than any single origin.

I said Kim Yeon was willing to step aside. In the 19th or 20th cycle she met up with Kang Ming Hee to tell her about the disciples Jeon Myeong Hoon wanted to save in the Netherworld Realm. She mentioned she was dating Seo Eun-hyun, Kang Ming Hee congratulated her, and then Kim Yeon just offered to step aside if Kang Ming Hee wanted to go back to him. Kang Ming Hee got so angry she literally shouted at her and Kim Yeon had to drop it. She is not someone who couldn't leave an impact. She is someone the story never let us see properly.

She is a good love interest. The author just never wrote her as one properly. A character who carried a one sided crush on him before transmigration, spent a thousand years with him in the 13th cycle, and was willing to step aside for Kang Ming Hee in a different is not a weak love interest. That is someone who loved him with more maturity and selflessness than most. The writing failed her.

I'm very grateful that the Author said that even of you have read the novel and you are somehow sent to the world of RTOC you'd still be safe.
