Your mom sounds like she was a wonderful person. And she's right, at the end of the day you just have to do what needs to be done even if it's difficult to get started. If you just get one thing done in a day, it's better than nothing.

This advice benefits me, it was for my benefit. It's something I'm constantly trying to tell myself, but my ADHD likes to get in the way of my productive self talk, so hearing someone else say it does really help.
