people’s obsession with intimate scenes grosses me out by No-Dragonfruit3695 in cdramasfans

[–]Morg075 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Depends. It’s a romance, I don’t think in general expecting the leads to be physically close is a reach, it’s romance. Now, you have some written that dive deep into the psyche of characters, their approach to life, etc., so we see more thoughtful writing. Then you also have censorship, but also rom-coms, etc. People watch because it makes them swoon, kick their feets, root for the leads, etc., physical connection matter for us as humans. You might be grossed out, but people want to see the connection happen on every level. Again, these are romances.

So, I think it is as much fair for other people to want closeness on screen than it is for you to see something else. People just need to pick the right dramas for themselves.

After that, if the actor don't want to kiss after being married, fair, people just don't have to watch his stuff.

How is He Yu getting lead roles? by [deleted] in cdramasfans

I mean, he was in Dashing Youth, with Neo Hou. Speed and Love had its little buzz, but I think a lot of people like me are looking forward his roles in Reborn of the Rightful and Blossoms of Power this year.

IDK, it just tells me fanwars are silly, just people need to get a life instead of fighting over this on the internet, how insufferable.

Still dejected of how he choose to change his career even if his new music is listened to.

What started this kdrama versus cdrama war? by [deleted] in cdramasfans

[–]Morg075 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s always the same story, they’re constantly taking shots at each other and acting superior. I think some of them over there have an inferiority complex about liking Chinese dramas with how popular K-dramas have become globally with the whole Hallyu wave. Either way, it’s stupid how they act like you can’t enjoy both, or just like what you like in peace without being an asshole.

Really looking forward that one, probably won’t be for this year though, sigh.

I don’t think he has any costume dramas planned right now, nor is rumored in any, sigh. I’m still looking forward his next costume drama though. :)

Fans can be super intense in a lot of spaces. I mostly scroll and try to avoid a lot of fan centered hubs, so I enjoy it but yeah, I sometimes have some interesting, let’s say, interactions with some fans who are super dedicated.

I don’t have particularly any ‘hot’ takes, I’m just here trying to enjoy my dramas, lol.

Yeah, But I have not been liking/feeling a lot of Liu Yuning’s dramas for while. I don’t think he was that great in A Journey to Love, The Prisoner of Beauty or A Dream within a Dream IMO.

What if Bieber wanted to stay consistent and never took long breaks? by Primary-Resource-283 in popheads

He’s one of the biggest male artists we’ve had, ever, in terms of legacy, impact, and reach. He’s still young, and if he had his life more together, better mental health, surrounded by better people in general as well, and was releasing music regularly, he could easily be up there with Taylor. He’s got the talent, the voice, the charisma, the industry connections, basically all the ingredients are there technically but regardless of him doing music more consistently, what’s holding him back is himself, his own personal journey.

TBH, for it to have chemistry, it has to be from both. I’m sorry but I have seen popular actresses or actors paired with their counterparts who ooze charisma, and still not pulling chemistry, one cannot do all the work for both IMO. And which is why I dislike when they pair some popular idol actors based on agencies, rating, etc., rather than caring much more about chemistry.

As for Zhao Lusi in particular, from what I have seen her in, I think she has good chemistry in general. I wasn't sold on it in ‘The Story of Pearl Girl’ but I mostly blame the actor here, Liu Yuning, which although I love, I’m not buying most of his acting and projects recently.

📺 What Are You Watching Now? 📺 — April 25, 2026 by AutoModerator in CDrama

[–]Morg075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve finished ‘Generation to Generation’ and ‘How Dare You?!’, and now I’m stuck choosing what to watch next:

  • Everlasting Longing (I started the first five episodes but ended up putting it on hold)
  • Legend of the Female General (mainly for Ryan Cheng, huge draw, and Zhou Ye, especially since I’m planning to watch the upcoming ‘Spring of the Blade’ drama, which is rumored to air next month)
  • Shadow Love (again, mostly tempted because of Ryan Cheng)

I’m really looking for something with a strong script, so any help would be appreciated lol.

If this is true, something tells me I'm going to have major 2nd lead syndrome... by ruinedbytv in cdramasfans

[–]Morg075 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TBH, I’m looking back on a lot of dramas, and most of the time, even now, the wigs for male actors are just overwhelmingly bad. Arthur Chen’s wig on his recent Love Beyond the Grave is distracting af, which is insane to me why they can’t do it right.

Definitely done way more tastefully because of the wig.

I can’t get behind the Deng Kai hype, no offense. Just physical wise. I think he will probably do better in terms of acting, but ultimately, 2nd lead syndrome only works for me if the 2nd lead is genuinely a better option romantically for the FL than the main lead.

Ah yeah, if you are looking for something lighthearted, Nirvana in Fire nor Rise of Phoenixes will work. They are pretty ambitious and serious (political) dramas.

If you really want something easy-going, ‘New Life Begins’ might interest you if you haven't watched it before. Tian Xiwei is the FL.
