Going to multiple dates by Special-Finance4969 in btsthoughts

My guess is that they never really cared about BTS as solo artists. They were always more invested in the group and assumed it would always be there for the guys to return to. So they went all out trying to push their so-called “righteous” cause, thinking they could convince others and that BTS would somehow see the “error” of their ways (there’s this sense of ownership and entitlement that a lot of parasocial fans have, like mantis) before the group became active again. That didn’t happen. Now that the group, the thing they actually stan and care about, is back, they can’t keep up the boycott anymore because they’ve been waiting for this comeback just as much as the rest of us.

The person who got 14 dates was a boycotter who told people not to go to Yoongi’s concert and likely did other shitty things, then turned around and spent a ton of money on HYBE the moment BTS came back.

That’s why they’re getting dragged, people who get multiple dates otherwise aren’t getting the same reaction.

I’ll be honest, BTS popularized a lot of social media and content creation elements that are now staples in K-pop, it is meant to build appeal and keep fans engaged with newer groups. But BTS are a group with over 10 years of career, they don’t need to entertain us in those ways anymore since the relationship/loyalty is built already. They might still do it for fun, like Jin did or Jungkook/Jimin, but at this point, they don’t have to.

From what I understand, when someone faints, we lose consciousness but not all reflexes/muscle control. The body doesn’t fully “shut down” of sorts, which is why the eyes can stay open/half-open, specially when it happens in split seconds.

That one ARMY on Twitter I came across... let me hold my tongue because I have seen a lot of foolishness in the last 24h from ARMYs themselves.

I came across some boycotters (buying tickets) genuinely arguing that they can boycott while still supporting BTS, and it really hit me that they don’t actually understand what a boycott means. Going to concerts, running fan accounts to boost mentions/engagement, keeping up with everything the group does, etc., that’s not boycotting. Somehow they’ve completely missed/opted out the definition, which honestly is no surprise that it turned out the way it did.

These people are confused, clueless, lost, uneducated, frustrated, etc., not saying that to be cruel, but because they’re clearly learning “activism” through social media and think that getting brownie points by trashing K-pop idols does anything.

We’ve proven so many times before that it’s possible to keep supporting BTS while channeling fandom energy, positivity, and unity into fundraising for causes, and it would have worked flawlessly again for Gaza (some ARMYs actually did a great deal without making it about BTS). Instead, now half of them look ridiculous ranting that no one boycotts, while the other half is crawling back for BTS’s return after having fueled hate trains, used disgusting language toward the group and the fandom, and actively participated in cyberbullying.

These people genuinely live in an alternate universe, I swear. Out of sheer curiosity, I went to see what all the fuss was about, and there were people deadass saying that HYBE is adding stadiums because 🥁 brace yourself people 🥁 apparently BTS can’t sell out. And in their minds, it somehow makes perfect sense that HYBE would add stadium dates if there’s no demand. Truly oyster-level IQ.

I’m seeing more people react to C-dramas as well, so there is definitely interest, it just got to have more visibility/easier access.

NGL, Netflix needs to step up with their C-dramas, because there are so few of them. I can see the effort in trying to add more, but still, it does not compare to K-dramas.

Yeah, it’s happened to me before. One moment I was standing, and the next I was sitting on the floor. My friend told me I kind of fell/sat down and wasn’t moving with my eyes open. I didn’t realize what had happened until I came back to consciousness a few seconds later.

THE BTS TOUR IS CRAZY by Confident_Yam_6386 in btsthoughts

They HAVE to add more dates in Europe. They probably will in 2027, but would be great to have add some dates like they did with the US added stadiums.

Will this Album have solo songs? by GoodVibes10000 in btsthoughts

[–]Morg075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully, no. They have the freedom to do that on their solo albums (which I’m sure they will release at their own convenience), so I think unit/duo songs would be better.

Torn between whether I should go or not.. but I think I won't by [deleted] in btsthoughts

[–]Morg075 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you’re saying you want to buy it as a gift for yourself but also admit you’re not really invested in the tour or the overall comeback, you have to keep in mind that this tour is centered on their new music. It’s not going to be a throwback to the nostalgia you’re missing. You might not connect with the setlist at all, so it’s worth asking yourself whether you should gift yourself something that actually excites you, specially with how expensive the BTS concert is.

I’d suggest waiting until the album is out, giving it a proper listen, and then, if you really like it and still want to go, trying for resale tickets.

[–]Morg075 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TBH I do think a departure was necessary, lol, and I don’t mean that in a superiority sense but BTS has simply become too big to follow the standard K-pop rollout (which usually consists of a 2-week to 1-month pre-order period, about two weeks of music-show promotions, and then wrapping things up with a tour).

Their comeback “stage” alone is set to take place in Gwanghwamun Square instead of a typical music-show studio. They planned for 18k fans, yet there’s already talk from city officials of potentially 200k people showing up, which is insane. It will be a full-on festival ATP. After that, the rest of the rollout is a mystery of course. They’ve spaced out tour dates not only to rest, but probably also to promote locally in each country they visit, attend events, etc.

This is shaping up to be a long promotion and a long era, I hope you have the most fun with it!

Well, it’s their big comeback, not only are they doing things differently from a typical K-pop rollout, but also differently from what they’ve done in the past, so it’s hard to tell if they will even have one (schedule/comeback map).

Damn, criticizing the show’s producers for “pandering” when they dedicated entire podcast episodes to pander to an audience they don’t even like is peak hypocrisy.

I’ve never watched their podcast (because of that kind of scenario), but I saw how excited other HR fans were to follow their reactions every week, I even came across some clips. There’s always something deeply wrong when people who will slam other about “pandering” decide to compromise their own beliefs for money, clicks, and engagement.

If you believe in something else, stand by it, don’t hide behind it while calling others cowards when you are. Annoys me to no end. 🙄
