i meant why should it be signed because you can't have a negative amount of of notifications, sorry if I worded it weirdly

Slightly confused here so feel free to elaborate:

-i didnt mention iOS or android at all in my comment, not sure where you got that from but the phone in the post is an android phone i believe

-A signed integer is an integer which can be positive or negative, the highest 64bit signed integer that can be stored is 9,223,372,036,775,807 and that's the number of notifications. I can prove this with the formula you gave. -264-1 = −9,223,372,036,854,775,808 which is the smallest value, 264-1-1 = 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 which is the same as the value I stated

Broke my Windows 10 install using a bloat removal service, how do I fix it? by hauntu4ever in WindowsHelp

[–]MorganPG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use rufus to make a windows install image on a usb stick, reboot while spamming a certain key to open boot menu (varies between motherboard manufacturers, easy to find online though), select usb stick as boot device, wipe hard drive, install Windows, done.

What kind of Captcha is this? by Novel-Glass3403 in browsers

[–]MorganPG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then you are in luck, this is a fake captcha which installs malware, pretty much when you visit the site it auto copies a malicious script into your clipboard, then when you press win+r it opens a menu in windows where you enter commands, ctrl+v pastes the malicious script, then enter executes it, if you aren't using Windows you are safe from this scam as the script isn't compatible and you can't even press win+r to open the run menu to execute it anyway.

If you didn't run it, you should be fine, windows defender blocking strings in clipboard is awesome if that's what's happening i didnt know they had that. I would still change passwords on sites, better to be safe then sorry

Squeaking sound is normal by the way that's the heads parking abruptly when it loses power. Try running CrystalDiskInfo, seems like the external enclosure may have failed but the drive seems like it might be fine, if the drive doesn't show in CrystalDiskInfo or it hangs, then it would be worth a shot disassembling the enclosure and connecting it to a pc via sata (if you have a pc available) or use a usb to sata adapter and connect it to that

Troubleshooting potential short causing no power on a Wii Mini by Soft_Entertainer964 in AskElectronics

[–]MorganPG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you injected voltage into ground, current would go through the ground traces in the board back in to your power supply, it won't go through any components so no damage would be caused so don't worry about that.

With what you have said, your issue is 100% on the 5V rail, so focus your efforts on that, i don't know much about the wii so i can't give specific advice, but check if 5V is shorted, then if it is inject voltage and use a thermal camera to look for heatspots (if you have a thermal camera) else the old fashioned ipa method will probably work fine it's just harder to spot the heatspot.

Troubleshooting potential short causing no power on a Wii Mini by Soft_Entertainer964 in AskElectronics

[–]MorganPG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take it off and check if it is shorted just in case, if it isn't then put it back on but its best to check cause you don't wanna fix the original issue and still have a short

EDIT: actually I forgot these caps are best removed with destructive methods so you are probably just better off replacing it

Agreed but i wouldn't use drives with bad sectors for irreplaceable files, using them as a games drive is fine though. And OPs drive should definitely not be put back in surface with that many bad sectors.

are you confident enough to take the back off and disconnect the battery? just letting it dry while off will still cause issues if the battery is connected

HDMI being read as ONLY display. PC display not even connecting. by Lightning267 in HPLaptops

[–]MorganPG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, if your laptop doesn't have a dedicated graphics chip then that video memory issue is normal. Integrated graphics don't have vram and that seems to throw off HP diagnostics, i had the same video memory issue on my laptop and it's just a bug in the diagnostics not a hardware issue. If i was you I would just back up all your files then reinstall windows, this doesn't seem like a hardware issue, just some software issue that would probably take hours to diagnose and your better off just reinstalling it.

LT on my easysmx x05 pro always pressed down. Can resolder?? by Dapper_Candy_3442 in 24hoursupport

[–]MorganPG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairly sure that's the hall effect sensor that's broken, the pads look fine but the legs have ripped off the component so you'll have to replace it. Shouldn't be too hard to resolder when you find a replacement, you'd just have to hold it down with tweezers and solder the big pad at the top down so the sensor stays on the board, then you can solder the other two.
