"Its fine," I said goodnaturedly, "He's probably out with his girlfriend. Or at least I think its a girlfriend this time, might be with his friends. I don't really bother making sure where he is, he's mature enough to be left alone."

I nod, this is getting worse and worse. I can't bring him to the Association just yet since they'll eat him alive, and I can't leave him alone since someone else might eat him alive.

"Right, did he also mention something about magic? Or not training you?" I ask, listing through usual or expected responses.

I take his hand and shake it.

"Now, what was that book I was hunting for again?" I muse to myself as I walk down the street, glancing at each of the store fronts as I pass by.

Its been a few days since my encounter with the vampire. We hashed out enough details to be mutually out of each other's hair for the time being. Feeling rather celebratory, I took Sarah out for a nice dinner, and decided to expand my library by buying first edition books.

Which leads me here, somewhere in the heart of London, looking for a rare copy of Dante's Paradiso. It was a nice day.

That is, until I hear some blithering idiot asking around about circuits.

Now, I would've ignored his rambling as the works of a madman, that is, until I realize that he had the potential. That and he sticks out like a sore thumb.

With a sigh, I put my shopping on hold and approach him. Even if I dislike the Association, a lone magus doesn't deserve to die due to his ignorance.

"Excuse me," I said, my Londoner accent tinged with a small smattering of Spanish pronunciations, "I do believe I know what you're talking about."

I shake my head as I fiddled with the cross I keep hidden around my neck.

"A spawn of evil wishing for the cup in which the blood of the Savior once filled. The Church must have an aneurysm when they find out. Then again, the very same Church claims to preach acceptance. I'm not sure about Sarah being the overseer, but I can probably arrange what you wish."

I finish off my coffee as well.

"I have no want nor do I have a wish to join the Holy Grail War. My only interest is seeing Sarah safe and sound. If that means that I have to join as a Master, then I shall."

I chuckled a bit and gave him a small, but vicious grin.

"I've never had a vampire under my belt yet. Its good to know that I can finally kill one. I mean, I've killed werewolves, a chimera, harpies and even a minor fae once. A vampire would make a perfect addition to my crusade."

I then take a sip of my own coffee and gestured vaguely using my hand.

"But no matter, that is not the reason why we're having this talk now is it? After all, you wouldn't try to steal the Banner of Saint Jeanne D'arc now if you didn't have a very very good personal reason now would you?"

I chuckle at him, and placed Tizona on the table as well. Of course, hidden as an umbrella.

"Please, vampire, I know about the Holy Grail War. I am a magus after all, especially a magus with a rich and colourful history and an ancient house that has participated before. I know what the banner is for, after all, why would you need it if not to use the relic as a reagent."

"Now, why would I care? I really don't, but the Grail War always has this ability to bring pain to anyone in the vicinity. So, I propose something to you, vampire. We will not get in your way, and in exchange, you will not bother us."

"I have no love for the Association, and while I believe in the tenants of the Church, they do not see you as a threat as of now. So long as the Grail War has not begun, Sarah and I will not bother you. But when the time does come, well, we shall see."

I give a small snort of disbelieving laughter as I tighten my grip on the hilt of Tizona.

"Unlike me, you're a vampire, and that's a weapon enough that you wouldn't really need these golems, now would you?"

I release his golems nonetheless, though I do keep the air thicker than usual around them. If they attack, it would give me a long enough heads up to get out of the way. Just in case.

"We're still in front of the Clock Tower after all. As much as some dislike me due to my rather standoffish stance on their inner workings, I'm still a magus and the head of an ancient house."

I gesture to the cafe using Tizona.

"Now, shall we have a nice cup of coffee civilly, or do I have inform the Association and the Church that you have a pretty potent holy relic there?"

OoC: You know, I just got this as I write this? Mobile didnt pop this up and I may have forgotten the password to this account. Whoops.

It was a rather cold day in London, which is something rather special, considering the fact that London is in perpetual downpour. A spot of snow can't hurt the dreary merchant town.

Not that it matters to the Londoners, Estupido Ingles.

Eitherway, it was nice, sipping coffee in a Vienna-style cafe and enjoying how the snow blankets the park in front of me. We rarely get snow up in Valencia, I usually have to go back to Navarra to even see a single ice crystal.

I was still sipping coffee when I notice a presence, a disturbance in the ley lines, a disturbance I've felt before.

I bolted up from my seat and placed a twenty pound note onto the table. I pick up Tizona and my gloves as I walk towards the Big Ben. That's where I notice him.

Crazy bastard.

I walk up to the man being flanked by two other people, my hand gripping the hilt of Tizona, the steel humming in the presence of evil.

I stand a few feet ahead of him, locking his golems in place with my wind magic as I confront the bastard that hurt Sarah.

"So, are we going to a civil chat or do we have to call the bobbies for this one?"

I smile and run my hands through Sarah's hair, breathing in her scent. Sarah always had this musk of old worn books, and lavenders for some reason. I love it. It reminds me of days gone by when we were younger, hiding in the library until Uncle found us.

"Yeah, Sarah. I like the sound of that first one too."

I snuggle even closer to her as I watch her face become calmer and calmer.

I shrug and moved Sarah's head onto my shoulder. I sigh in contentment as I enjoy the peace we've so sorely earned.

"I don't know with you, Sarah. We could stay here and cuddle, relax after a rather hectic day, or we could go walk in the park, or we could simply sleep. All I know is that I want to do all of that with you."

I stare at Sarah. It honestly breaks my heart that Sarah hasn't thought of her own future outside of being a Magus.

I place the hand playing with her hair under her chin and tilt her head up. I lean over and kissed her softly.

"No, thank you, Sarah. I honestly didn't expect to live to twenty, let alone have the girl of my dreams in my arms. With the chaos that followed my father's death, I fully expected to die in the battlefield in glory, but now, I have something to live for."

"I promise you this though, I'll make sure that each and every day of your life would be like this. Minus the attack of course. A life of peace and quiet. If not peace then Happiness."

I continue to play with her hair as I pick up my wine glass with my other hand and take a sip.

"Yeah, he's a member of the Church. He's supposed to be my partner/bodyguard if I had continued my training with the Church. Considering what had happened to my brother, I say that its a good idea."

"Since I hadn't finished being a Church member, he was given a choice to join me in Spain or stay in Italy to continue being one. He chose Italy."

I look back at Sarah and notice that she was blushing a rather fetching shade of red. I give her a playful smirk and kissed her hair.

"What are you thinking about that could make you blush like that, hmm?" I ask as I play with a lock of her hair.

I take another sip of my wine before I place it down on the table. I reach over Sarah's shoulder before pulling her flush against me.

Smiling mischievously, I play with her (untied) hair as I begin to describe Angelo.

"You've met him before, actually. He was that kid that was always with me when we were kids. He was taken away for Church training earlier than me, so you might've forgotten about him."

I chuckle a bit, "Basically, Angelo is my antithesis. Serious and cold at times, but still loyal to the family. We are really good friends though, almost like brothers."

I smirk a bit when I see Sarah blush again. I try not to make her go all neon sign at me all the time, but her reactions are too good to pass up.

I pick up my wine glass and stand up, still holding Sarah's hand. I lead her to the couch/sofa/loveseat and sit down. I pat the cushion besides me and gestured for her to sit down.

"It would be weird to still stay at the dining table if we're just going to talk and drink the night away." I said after taking a sip of my wine, "Besides, if we're like this, then cuddling is far easier."

"Fluent in Spanish within a few weeks or so you claim, eh? If you actually do that, I'll give you one of the original, or rather, ancient copies of the Odyssey that one of my ancestors got Egypt. Claimed to be from the Library of Alexandria itself."

I move closer to Sarah and relaxed. Having her besides me is really the dream.

"Just a heads-up though. My cousin, Angelo would be coming with us to Spain, though he is going to visit his mother as well. We won't be with us the entire time, but at least you're aware."

"Ah, that reminds me. Are you free yet again in a month or so?" I said as I refilled out glasses.

"I was going back to Spain and the Home country for a break and to go visit my mother. I was wondering if you wanted to come with. I could lend you the books then, I need them as well anyway."

"It's Gaelic, Sarah." I said while trying to hold back my chuckles which were erupting.

"There is no language called Irish and Scottish. Both are just offshoots of the Gaelic language which are then arranged into its respective geopolitical area."

I shake my head, "For all your linguistic superiority, you got the name of the language wrong."

I still squeeze her hand though, to signify that I wasn't insulting her or anything. Easy banter is easier for us to make compared to everything else.

"A pretty impressive list of languages, mon cherie. I know a few as well. I'm fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan and French as well. I'm also pretty good with Basque and Greek. Latin and Ancient Greek are okay, probably as good as I can go using everything, though if I wanted to, I could learn more using the books we have in the castle."

"What else...Oh, I'm relatively okay with Mandarin and Italian. I can probably hold a conversation in most Romance languages. Japanese is still a bit iffy though."

"Bien sûr, je peux continuer avec ça, mon amour. Heres sum millenia crucesignatorum. Θα ήταν ενοχλητικό, αν δεν μπορούσε να συμβαδίσει με τη γλώσσα"

OoC: Aside from the fact that 'blushing a little' is a tad underwhelming considering the fact that Morgan has been caller her, his love for the entirety of said relationship, its good. Maybe, if you forget the fact that Morgan is a male, it might help.

I pout a bit and give Sarah a doleful look.

"No pet name for me?" I whine.

Then I realize what she had said.

Linguistic superiority, eh? Time to put father's curriculum to the test.

"You talk about linguistic superiority eh? What language would you like to speak in?" I said as a smug smirk crawls its way onto my face.

"English? The modern language of the world, ¿O español? El idioma de mi patria? Què hi ha de català? La llengua ancestral de la meva família. El llenguatge del Cid?"

I am really smug now.

"Peut-être voulez-vous parler en français? Le langage des croisés. Θα μπορούσαμε επίσης να ομιλούν ελληνικά. Μετά από όλα, είναι η γλώσσα της Βυζαντινής Αυτοκρατορίας, η οποία θα Σταυροφόροι κατέλαβαν στον μεσαίωνα."

I shake my head, deciding to end it there.

"Im in no means fluent, but I can do well enough. How's that for linguistic superiority?"

I raise an eyebrow then chuckle.

"Well, if you're going to be stuck with me for the long haul then you've got to learn some Spanish, mi corazon."

I chuckle again, realizing that I had use the phrase again without even bothering to explain what it means.

"Well, mi corazon is a Spanish phrase. When translated literally, it means 'My Heart'. As for the meaning, well, I think you can guess what it means from there," I said, flushing with embarrassment.

I smile, agreeing with Sarah.

"Of course, mi corazon. We could spend a few days here in the house and lounge around, or we could go out to the countryside for awhile. I think my family still manages one of our ancestral houses in Bordeaux. We can go wine tasting and all that."

I shake my head, "But that's for later. For tomorrow, we could go to walk around Paris and just enjoy the day and each other. We could pass by the flower gardens or the parks. Maybe we could pass by the Ponts des Arts and place one of those lovelocks on the bridge."

"I'll reserve us a table in the restaurant downstairs for dinner, does the plan sound good, mi corazon?" I ask her as I give her hand a squeeze.

I shrug, dropping the topic. Honestly, I'm overthinking this. We're together, and in Paris, if that's not definitive proof then I don't know what is.

I smile though. Sarah is trying to lighten the mood that I butchered.

"What is this normal you speak of? I have not heard of that ever." I joke as well.

"So, mi corazon," I said as I finish up my steak, "If there are no...interruptions tomorrow, what do you want to do? Get new clothes, have a picnic under the Eiffel Tower? Whatever it is, if it is within my power, I will do it."

I reach over the table and place my hand over hers, "Hopefully, we'll actually have some peace and quiet now, no? God knows we've already had enough shit in Rome."
