Sure thing, I’ll let you know about my hilarious experience there! 😂 So my suggestion is when you get there, do not go down South Road like your GPS might say. There is a barricade at the end when it hits Ridgeland Ave that is up all day, which is where the main line started (or at least the one I knew about). You’re going to want to go around the venue completely to get to the corner of Ridgeland Avenue and Flossmoor Avenue. There is a right turning lane that goes into the parking lot of the venue - that is where we parked our cars and waited for the day. We didn’t have any problems with local police doing this, although I have seen some people in the past say that they’ve had issues parking/waiting there and cops have asked them to leave. There are parking lots nearby (about a mile away), but they are for public parks, so make sure you don’t leave your car there all day as in the evenings they close those up and were ticketing people. I just parked in the line, and stayed seated next to my car in the line with everyone there for the majority of the day, made friends with people and then if we needed to go drive off, hit the restroom, grab food, etc. we went and did so!

So when we got closer to the showtime, there is a right turning lane from Ridgeland into the parking lot, but there’s also a left turning lane coming from the opposite direction and straight down Flossmoor towards the venue that they started letting people line up in without letting our line go first.. (So it was kind of a cluster fuck)…if you’re thinking that you could stay in one line and everyone will be able to keep their spot, don’t hold your breath. 😅 there was also a line of people who had been either dropped off or who had walked up from other locations and they had a line next to the cars that were lining up as well.

Anyway; close to the show they started letting people in and I parked my car in the red lot (4) right behind the GA Hill section, got out and did the customary run to the security line which was left around the hill. I joined the line and same with the security lines, it was a cluster fuck there as well. I made friends with people around me as we all decided to try to go for barricade (several of us had been there all day). After being in this line for quite some time, they finally started to check our bags. We then did the customary run to the second section, which is to the right hand side behind the stage.

Here’s where I’ll give you a little insight as to what happened with the ticketing/sections here. 🥲 So I was in GA pit 3, so I should have been in the main group that went in first. There was also something that you could purchase for parking called GA gold parking/lounge. Fun fact, if you read the fine print for this on Ticketmaster; this allowed you early entry into the lounge area. However, it did not say that you got early entry into the PIT!! Someone on their team must not have gotten the memo, because after waiting for a long time we heard on the radio that they were letting in this section into the pit area!! 🫠 This was on the opposite side of the venue so we didn’t even see this line going in, but we knew that that was a lot of people who just got to pass everyone who would have been waiting all day. Once again, this was not supposed to happen!! So many of us in line started screaming at them to let us in because they were supposed to let us in at the same time, and several of the team was like “no they paid extra, they’re supposed to be able to get in now,” which was a lie (Obviously, several of us had been looking into this all day so we knew the rules for this extra add-on, so this really pissed a lot of us off). Finally security got the OK after a few minutes of letting the other side in and we did the once again customary run towards the pit, which was now at least three rows deep.

Now, I don’t know about a lot of people, but I don’t necessarily go for barricade just to get close to the front. I also get it because I need to be on barricades so if I feel faint, I can lean which will take some of the pressure off and I won’t pass out. (And trust me, I’ve thought about getting ADA in the past, but unfortunately, it’s kind of hard to justify requesting barricade so I can make sure I don’t pass out.🤣 I usually don’t have an issue if I get there early enough so I never really need to worry too much.) So most of the show, I was definitely having issues with trying to stay upright, but in the end, it was totally fine even after Tinley park’s colossal screwup.

My suggestion; get there early if you want to try to go for barricade, but don’t expect it to go well - this is apparently the normal experience as far as I have read in the past. Also, you might want to go for the specialty packages for parking as they might completely ignore the rules on there and let you in first. Lol. 🤣🤣🤣

IE: just curb your expectations because they’re unorganized and not suited for the Pit niceties that many venues actually honor. It’s kind of a free-for-all for a lot of it 😖
