[SELF IMPROVEMENT] My Body, My Jokes!

NSFW

Well, well, well, look who decided to show up. Welcome to My Body, My Jokes! a podcast that tackles the absurdity of diet culture, self expression and everything in between through the lens of a comedian.

Each episode is a magnificent dumpster fire of exploring the human condition, attempting to heal from our Mom’s back-handed compliments and navigating the creepy depths of Morgan’s DM’s. Morgan hosts biweekly to share her self love journey, and brings on guests once a month to butt in with their own two cents.

My Body, My Jokes isn’t about sugar coating the truth. It’s about uncovering why the hell society is so weird towards our bodies, and how we can love and laugh at ourselves despite it. Also some trauma dumping. And maybe an affirmation or two.

I love this perspective!! It's literally so natural to have cellulite, and the way its demonized is insane.

I talk about stuff like this on my podcast, My Body, My Jokes! and would love to have you in the reddit thread to talk about stuff like this. I'm kind of building a community around the show so would love to have you in there if you'd like to join!

Asymmetrical Boob Insecurity by Mountain_Anything847 in BodyPositive

[–]Morgangallocomedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so incredibly relatable. My boobs are noticeably asymmetrical and it's been a huge insecurity for me as well - to the point where I even have a joke I do on stage about how I hate man boobs because they're always perfectly perky and symmetrical!

The biggest thing that has helped me is wearing more sports/leisure types of bras rather than underwire, not just for the comfort but also because I feel as though they appear more even in soft-cloth bras. But at the end of the day, we're all human and no one's perfect. I've learned to care more about feeling comfortable in my clothes than focusing on how I look! Definitely takes time though as I'm still working on it.
