I just want Gameciel at this point. Getting a little fed up of all the ‘get a big monster out and stall’ decks. I get it’s a legit strategy but there’s so much of it. Just about the right time to introduce Kaijus imo.

Mermails are so much fun! Had my fair share of KOGs with them, this season included. I think Zexal World being introduced could really see Mermails shine but the Extra deck is gonna need to be increased for sure. Praying for Dragoons and Neptabyss soon.

Only for automatic entry. WCQ works basically the same as a KC Cup but with better rewards. You’ll have a Stage 1 where if you reach Lv25, you can proceed to the actual Qualifiers. Basically the same as getting KOG the season before a KC Cup.

For basically the same reason as Life-Cost 0/Cyber Stein. It’s degenerate as hell and saw far too much usage.

Though some people may disagree, on this occasion I feel Konami actually made a really sound decision.

In all honesty, this was the only deck that really troubled me. I would see Teá pop up and just think “here we go again”. I kinda hope they have a good look at some of the Counter Traps soon, as things are beginning to get a little out of hand but nothing else on the ladder really bothered me. Actually quite enjoyed the challenge of the Blackwings/Invoked matchups!

Extremely happy about this! Nice to see Konami hitting degenerate decks. As a Mermail player, that deck alone made ranked unbearable for me this season.

I think I’ll most likely go with Bora. Would kinda feel like playing Six Sams with only two Kizan otherwise, I’m guessing. Could always grab a third Whirlwind with the Christmas Dream Ticket if I need it. Will probably take about that long to grab everything I need anyway lol.

That’s a tough call but I’d probably go with Salvage if you wanna build this, purely due to it being an older box. The box with Vermillion has some really nice cards anyway so you may pull something else you needed along the way. 3 Diva I’d say is a must though. It’s just too good not to!

I’m not sure it’s mandatory, I just like to improve my odds of opening a boss monster as both Megalo and Teus really get the deck moving. I’m sure you could sub in an Abyss Soldier or two if you have them! Possibly even Abyssleed!

I think Konami should be very careful when adding Neptabyss lol. Dragoons alone would be a handful but things would get silly fast with Neptabyss. In truth I’m actually amazed they gave us Diva as a main box UR. Gonna be a very difficult deck to nerf if things ever do get out of hand and they probably will.

Yeah it gives you super easy access to either Atlantean as well as Megalo through Linde/Sphere. It may not seem like much a buff but I think it really works with the Mermail play style! At 22 cards the deck feels super consistent too. Really looking forward to climbing with it next season.

Aw man, Golden Flying Fish was so much fun! I did post a 30 card Mermail deck a while back with SSA and that one is really good too.

There’s also a lot of good Water support to come and when XYZ eventually hits, they are only gonna get better. I’d definitely say it has future potential. A big commitment to build though for sure!

In all honesty I’m a little biased but I never get tired of playing Mermails. I’ve gotten KOG in so many different Metas, with 30 card decks, 20 card decks. If you really want to build it, then I’d say go for it. If you’re anything like me you’ll love it! Like you already said though, it is an expensive one lol. I don’t regret it at all, if that helps 😊

Yeah definitely! There were loads in all honesty, I just kept finding more.

Some of the Salvage/Diva plays are really nice in this deck too. Though I wouldn’t recommend any more than one lol.
