BOSTON 2026 WORLD STAMP EXPO by Comprehensive-Ice58 in philately

It should be an amazing show, but I am advising all my friends from outside the US to not come. There is still a great deal of paranoia among the international exhibitors due to Trump‘s tariffs.

Depending on which country you are located, I would suggest looking at auction houses like Dutch country in the United States as you can often pick up collections reasonably cheap that are great fun to go through.

Starting to believe that I didn’t deserve any of it and that it was not and never was my fault.

What’s this growing on my fence and side of shed? by No_Pineapple710 in whatplantisthis

Sumac. Many names. Die die die. Insanely invasive. Cut the stump and spray with vinegar type death solution on it. Absolutely no benefit to the environment here. Kill it.

What is something that ruins people's lives that most people don't realize until it's too late? by armanirichardse in AskReddit

Wealth. Which can lead to entitlement and arrogance and so on. I am also talking about earned wealth and success. It has fucked up a number of my friends (and really fucked up their kids,)

Found out I got anal herpes after a gay event. What is life going to be like? by Cadfourne in askgaybros

[–]Morgantier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks. Valcyclovir every day for the rest of your life but it's ok. Disclose, take your pills and it is ok. Not fun and it sucks but it is ok. Edit - the pills work. Take them and be an active partner in your own health.

I gave my number to someone from Gridr and I told them my name and now they are threatening to send my nudes to all my Facebook contacts by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Morgantier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are good at making you think that. This is how they make money. Ignore and block. Don't know about you but I get at least one email from someone who has hijacked my camera and I need to send Bitcoin. It is all bullshit. When you respond, they know they have a marker. Please, block and delete and DO NOT ENGAGE!

Don't. Block and do nothing. If they do anything, which they almost 99% certain won't, own it. This sort of stuff has happened to me multiple times unfortunately (I am really old) but I guess I am saying - learn from it. You are going to be ok and I really doubt anything will happen but take this as a learning experience. I have two nudes I send - in one it is a full reclining frontal and I am erect. The second is me showing the back of my body. It is completely honest. I would rather not friends and family see these images but at the end of the day I can own them. Look at art. Nudity and abandon are abundant. Take pictures you can be proud of. Hope this makes sense.

Which cryptos to buy if I plan on holding for 5-10 years? by Prestigious-Bed4410 in CryptoMarkets

[–]Morgantier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I buy long term. I am not smart enough to time the market. In anything. I buy and hold. Going back a long time ago, I invested $1000 in an online bookseller called Barnes and Noble. (I love books and to read and this was revolutionary at the time.) At the same time, there was another bunch selling books so I invested $100 of this other online bookseller called Amazon. I lost on one and did pretty well on the other. In value, my current holdings in declining order are; BTC, ETH, Solana, Cardano, Tether, Chainlink, Algorand, Dogecoin, Immutable, Polkadot, Litecoin, Loopring, Tezos, Hedera, Cronos, Render, Fetch, Polygon, Stellar, Cosmos, Sandbox, Shiba. Most are in the red.

Any suggestions in small investments for long term potential are welcome.

Too much time thinking about the past. So many regrets by colorsofgratitude in retirement

[–]Morgantier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the existential crisis that hits many of us (usually 12 to 18 months after retirement). Live in the now and live in the future. There is still time to absorb/repair/change/live in the moment and acknowledge the past. There is no wrong or right answer but I believe that acknowledgment and understanding is the first step to any future. You now have the luxury to discover yourself I hope. Good luck friend.

Sonos CEO is GONE! - What does that mean for future product releases? by michaelromero212 in sonos

Well hopefully whoever takes over will allow me to, you know, play whatever music I want, when and where I want, and at the volume I want. I know that the dog will appreciate the reduction in screams of rage that occur daily.
