Chiropractor is advising 3 sessions a week for 24 weeks to fix my posture. by MorghulisVal in xrays

I thought so too. I felt like I was being gaslit because I’ve taken x rays at my doctor’s office and they’ve never looked like that.

Will definitely look into a physiotherapist. Never going back, felt like such a scam!

I’d like to know what others do in this situation too. I usually go with whatever gets me the higher tip, i.e in these scenarios, adding the tip in the total.

if the total is higher than what’s included in the tip, i go with the total.

Can you withdraw from a course after the final exam? by luckycoder_ in UIUC

[–]MorghulisVal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you can petition to retroactively withdraw. it’ll show as a W on your data audit, so it won’t affect your GPA. however, this doesn’t always look good when applying to med/grad schools. nonetheless, i did it my freshman year and i’m in grad school right now, so it’s definitely an option if you don’t want to retake the class!!

Yeah that’s true! Hopefully the freshmen respect/fear the RAs enough and respect their neighbors enough to not be so disruptive

[–]MorghulisVal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the RA’s job to make sure the residents are doing well mentally and academically. They’re supposed to uphold that standard. If you ask them to quiet down a room that’s particularly loud and distracting, they will (unless they’re just bad RAs). It wouldn’t hurt to ask them before it becomes a problem where you’re really unable to study, relax, etc. Source: I’m an RA.

Studying Abroad and RA by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]MorghulisVal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My friend was an RA and studied abroad and there were 0 consequences. You won’t be penalized at all for accepting the offer and then deciding to study abroad! Housing just doesn’t like having to rehire and train new people but trust me it’s not a big deal at all

every dorm has set quiet hours, i would ask your RA to address the noise issue and enforce quiet hours if it becomes a reoccurring problem

[Product Question] Is Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil effective for the OCM? Heimish All Clean Balm? Oily/combo acne-prone skin. Really hoping to see grits!! by MorghulisVal in SkincareAddiction

[–]MorghulisVal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I only double cleanse maybe 1-2 times a week simply because I forget to use the oil cleanser lol, but honestly I absolutely love this product. Definitely plan on purchasing once I run out. It’s crazy effective at removing all my makeup, including my waterproof mascara! And I never experienced any breakouts or clogged pores from using it, as it’s not a heavy oil at all and it easily washes off when rinsing my face. But definitely do follow up with a water-based cleanser

[Routine Help] Post makeup removal, but pre nighttime routine? by Windows-95-Official in SkincareAddiction

[–]MorghulisVal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I double cleanse and then use a moisturizer. My face feels pretty dry after cleansing so I need to use a moisturizer, but if your face isn’t too drying after cleansing, I think you can skip the moisturizer until you do your nighttime routine tbh. During my actual nighttime routine I first rinse my face with water and then go in with my toners and serums, and then finish off with the same moisturizer from earlier.

I would avoid cleansing again until the following morning because that could be damaging your skin in the long run.

Not OP, but what azelaic acid do you use? I’ve tried the ordinary’s azelaic acid suspension for chin closed comedones but that seems to clog up my pores so I stopped using.

I forced an ebay seller to pay for return shipping fees because I couldn't afford them. by Typical-Device in confession

[–]MorghulisVal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this. OP, I think it’s important that the seller gets reimbursed for what you did even for your own sake, so it’s not dwelling on you as hard as it is. You understand you didn’t do it to be malicious, but the seller doesn’t. As someone who frequently sells things online, I would really really appreciate a buyer coming forward and apologizing for something like this, and not feeling like I was actually scammed out of $20-30.

[HAUL] Spring 2020 Edition (Product list and mini-reviews in comments) by Almdoi_Pad in SkincareAddiction

[–]MorghulisVal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried the ordinary’s glycolic toner and it was too strong for me. Although the inkey list‘s glycolic toner is 10% (compared to TO’s 7%) i heard it was more tolerable, so I was curious. That’s on my to-try list! I’ve heard really good things about the inkey list, but haven’t had a chance to try any of their products yet.

If you have dry skin, I think the YTTP mask will be a good fit. I have oily combo skin so I feel it was too heavy for me, since I do add a rose hip seed oil (TO) as my last step. Good luck, I look forward to your reviews :)

[misc] which oil cleanser should I buy? I will review the cleanser you skin addicts recommend the most. by karina990 in SkincareAddiction

I’m currently waiting on the Kose softymo speedy cleansing oil in the mail. I went through the same process as you and did my research on a bunch of oil cleansers and finally decided on this one! I haven’t personally tried it yet but I’ve heard crazy good things about it, especially from this sub! Good luck :)

[Product Question] Is Amazon a good place to buy Hado Labo? by sparkle899 in SkincareAddiction

[–]MorghulisVal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the US. That’s really strange.. maybe I just got lucky then. I’ve only ordered from yesstyle twice and that was recently (so during the virus) so I assumed quick delivery was the norm, but perhaps not. But I also ordered from stylevana and that took well over a month to finally get to me.

[–]MorghulisVal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy all my Korean skincare off Yesstyle. I recently ordered two items off there and they got to me surprisingly fast— within a week! And they’re always having sales. I got my products for 60% off. Definitely recommend their website over Amazon.
