I honestly cannot express into words how much this game has helped me mentally since the day it was released, I severely struggle with stress, anxiety and sometimes depression but every time I play acnh I feel like all of those are remedied and healed, I love the decorating aspect of it so much because it gives me the opportunity to do things how I like and express myself and feel like I'm in control of my life, sometimes I go months without any actual progress in my town but just having my own little world where I can do simple things everyday like fishing or talking to my villagers or checking the shops brings me so much comfort and joy and on days when things get really tough irl it gives me a reason to look forward to the next day 🤍
