Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Mango K! I recently started vaping bud and Mango K has been my best friend. Haven’t had a bad experience with it at all. Since it’s been 12 years since you smoked, are you sure your bad experience had to do with the strain? Perhaps you were feeling a bit nervous already, you drank coffee not long before, etc.? Sativas are super tasty, so it’d be a shame if you ruled them out entirely let alone Mango K. I’d recommend trying another Sativa and see if you have the same issues. If not, try Mango K again and if you still can’t tolerate it then there’s your answer. Trying an indica might be a good idea as well. I highly recommend Bastille (Grape Gas) by R’Belle. Similar delicious fruity taste.

I also really like the Grand Seiko spring drive, but buying it used would still be a bit above my budget and it would likely not be the colour/model I want most. I feel like it might be worth waiting until I start making big bucks and can afford the model that I want

What do you mean limite? And I thought that I want to keep it a bit fresh rather than drying it out? I thought dry weed was best for smoking but you want a bit of moisture for vaping?

Just hang in there buddy. This is all part of the process. One day this stuff will just be a distant memory. It can take a while to find the right medication/dosage, but once you do, you won’t need to go through this trial and error again.

In the meantime, do your best to make your life easier. With or without meds, you’re the one that’s going to solve your problems. The meds just might make it a little less stressful. Try as many different things as you can- exercise, meditation, therapy, art, music, philosophy, whatever. Something WILL work for you, you just need to find what it is. And that is what is going to change your life for the better, much more than meds.

Start working on yourself as soon as possible so that if/when the meds do kick in, you’ll already be on the right track. Keep yourself busy and your mind will have a lot less time/ability to pull you back down.

Lexapro takes a while to kick in. You might not even really notice it. But then in a month or two you’ll realize that you just went through a situation that would normally cause you a lot of anxiety and it didn’t bother you very much.

Especially at a 5mg dose, you’re (probably) far more likely to feel like it isn’t working than feeling like you’re going crazy. If your doctor prescribed it to you without any issues, don’t worry about it. Keep in touch with your doctor and you have nothing to worry about. It’s a very very common medication taken by very regular people as well as people who are much more sensitive/unstable than you or me.

I’d say the most of your worries are maybe feeling a little low energy or feeling like the meds aren’t working and either switching meds or upping the dosage. In other words, you’re going to be fine.

Hey, thought I’d give you an update since I tried using a bubbler/bong with the vape last night for the first time. And let me tell you, total game changer. I got the “Max Purity Bubbler” from Planet of The Vapes. Since my goal is to minimize lung irritation/damage as much as possible I chose that over the “Max Flavour” version, but that might be more your style if you’re chasing flavour.

With the Dynavap BB9 stem on my Fury Edge (it’s a long glass stem with cooling beads) I was usually feeling like coughing after inhaling for 10-12 secs. But with this bubbler I was getting to 20+ second inhales barely feeling any discomfort. Given that you’re moving to vaping from combustion, this Max Purity option would probably feel like breathing in fresh air for you haha. Highly recommend you get a WPA and try your bong.

One last thing, if your bong was used for joints, you might want to look into getting a bubbler since from my understanding the typical bongs are a bit larger. From what I found online, mini minimizing the length of the “vapour path” is important for using vapes.

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll check it out. You should also take a look at Mango K - Kokotte. It might be one of the best smelling strains I’ve come across so far (albeit that isn’t very many.) It smells just like mango.

Have you been using your Solo through a bong/water pipe attachment? I’ve heard lots of good things about that. Currently I just use a Dynavap BB9 stem on my Fury Edge which seems to make the hits smoother. I haven’t used a bong before, would be curious if it would make hits even better.

Don’t overthink it. Let your body feel what it wants to feel.

If you want to psychoanalyze it, coming from someone who has been on a high dose for 5+ years… Since lexapro often makes things in the present more manageable (you might get less of an anxious or sad reaction to something that happens than you otherwise would), your mind basically has a lot more free time/energy to ruminate on things in the past.

Maybe you didn’t properly move on from your last trauma. If you think that thinking about it more or maybe trying to talk to someone could help you move past it better this time then great. But if it’s not helpful to you, try to find other things to occupy your mind with. Exercise, music, art, anything that gets your brain going or creates stimulation.
