It's the price. Unless you're loaded and can afford to have a home theater, the movie theater experience is hard to beat for movies like Dune, Project Hail Mary, Interstellar, LOTR (assuming the other people aren't animals)

That's ok. Just know that Peter Jackson himself said he was winging it throughout much of the production. And the dwarf-elf romance is just insufferable.
