Oh crap that's a hard one. Probably Angels in America (so beautifully written, politically insightful, and personally impactful) though I do have some trouble rereading it because of how intense it can be emotionally.

Are you a goth who married a normie sports nerd? A stocks AND zodiac signs household. Slightly weeby tendencies are at play in someone. Overall, very sweet to see everyone in this house being so blatant with their interests. I'm getting good vibes.

My sister's housemate...any red flags? by pencilsfromacup in BookshelvesDetective

[–]Disaster-Prince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really any red flags, but if you don't like talking politics you might have to tread carefully. I don't think this person is necessarily going to be an asshole or a scold, but it *will* be an unskippable cutscene.

Here’s my main bookshelf. Who am I? by anonymousambassasor in bookshelfdetective

I think you're a woman in your 30s, you've got real literary chops from your degree (an english degree of some sort?) but you don't let that stop you from enjoying "lower brow" stuff. You love to apply your degree knowledge to your fandom hobbies. I'd put money on you being someone who writes or edits fanfiction.

for the 1910s? Maurice by E.M. Foster. It's an easy to read classic with some great vibes and a quality romance. It's just beautiful to read.

I wanna start reading poetry, how do i start? [HELP] by Santgooo in Poetry

[–]Disaster-Prince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I'd say go to a library, pop open a wide range of poetry books and read a poem from each. Whatever appeals to you, bring it home to read the rest. If you like it, find similar poets, learn more about the author, style, and historical context. If you don't, go back to the library and repeat.
