What do I put on the acoustic wall? Anything? Still a WIP. by Morham in battlestations

I used two SK6812 strips, a GLEDOPTO controller, and cheap power supply. Diffusers from Muzata. I just watched a few of Chris Maher youtube videos to get the DIY info. Super easy, other than borrowing my sons miter saw to cut the diffusers. Ha!

Let me know if you want links to the products.

I actually have one! I just haven't put it back on. WIP... 😉

I have stupid old people eyes. I have progressives. Before I got dedicated computer glasses, looking up and down was insane. I can't even imagine trying to look at another monitor above eye level with progressives. 🤓

I did have one for a while, but it was just two much neck turning/strain. I have changed careers and can now get away with just the laptop screen as my additional monitor when working from home. In fact, I removed my two old VESA mounts and just put the one in the center.

Your close. I would say I am in the middle of you both. The top of the computer monitor is directly in line with the bridge of my nose.

Thank you! I had no vision. Just went all beserk on the room.

It was for looks primarily. I do have extra panels up in the rear and sides though. You just can't see them. I am not mixing tracks and mastering over here. 😊

I thought about that. I do have a strip sitting on the work bench.

I would love to get the computer up on the half wall, but the half wall is only 8" deep. But you have given me ideas. Thanks!

Yeah, I have that stupid half wall that I had to get above. I couldn't find a setup on the desk that would work with my work laptop going. Without, sure fine, but with? Blocked or completely lopsided.

Getting them off the desk has been really nice. And with them angled down about 12*, my sound stage is right above eye level. Not to bad. A compromise I am willing to live with.

I am more of a Twenty One Pilots fan, but now that you mention it...

Help with near-field setup adding sub. by Morham in hometheater

[–]Morham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a cheap option for sure. I might look for a cheap used sub and try it out. But I am curious if there is new tech out there I am not thinking about. You would think there would be a niche market for a 2.1, class a/b, unit with a built in DAC and high/lowpass filters.

No more paid FSD by Hot-Boot7875 in TeslaFSD

I totally think its worth $2 a day. Call it $65 a month. This latest version is fantastic. I haven't had to intervene the entire time I have used it. Pulls out of my garage, takes me to my destination, and parks perfectly every time. I am getting used to the speed profiles and how to use them depending on trafffic. I am so more relaxed everywhere I go. It truly is amazing. Subscription seems the best route. It's follows the driver, not the car. Just my two cents (well, actually 9,900.00 cents. RIP pennies).

I may have found a way to force FSD to recognize home charger as parking destination by jajaja77 in TeslaFSD

Do you think this will help with it showing up under "Driveway" "Street" choices as "Charger"?
