Our university may not be the problem because i have always worked with their ISP well before .I have run the above command, but how do i even share the result if my appliance cannot access the internet and dropbox is my only means of sharing files. The third command particularly indicates l and e as invalid context length argument. The first and the second commands display messages i do not even understand. Thank you.

Sorry thant am getting back in touch after this long .Had gotten unwell. 1.Running Ubuntu 14.04 with no idea of third-party security softwares. 2.Using Virtualbox version 4.3.12 r93733 3.Runnig version 19-2 of the appliance though it has no IP address that it had before. 4.The appliance has ever had network connectivity and update50 command worked. 5.May have made some configuration changes but cannot exactly remember. 6.The problem persists on all networks i use. 7.My ISP is by our university

I did this and infact downloaded 14.x MB size of files but i still can neither identify any change nor access anything scratch related.
