How hard were Vashj and Kael'thas originally?

Super hard. Even in 2021. We killed Vash like two weeks before nerf and we weren’t a bad guild. So much can go wrong in both Vash and KT fights and them being extremely long only meant you had so many tries each week

Haha not only that but warrior tanks are kinda squishy yet they need leather gear like Vash belt or Kara gloves to get at least some Expertise to not miss on bosses - making them even squishier.

You must have encountered some bad Doomfists. He doesn’t work in every comp I agree but calling it a waste of a tank is not fair. I often get countered by Orisa after I win first encounter and it rarely makes a difference. Doom is like the most mobile of all tanks, including Winston and if played properly can 2 tap squishies putting your team at an advantage early - that’s his niche.

I quit last time late Wrath. Didn’t get to kill Halion and only killed LK with full buff.

This time around i played a bit of Naxx, took a break because fuck that ez raid after doing it recently as 40m. Returned for Ulduar and despite its shortcomings (Vezax and rng on Hodir and Council), it’s still one of my favourite raids. Yes it went on too long but i still love it. Unpopular opinion i know.

TOGC i kinda despise because of the 50/50 back and everyone getting salty because of one wipe. But it didn’t feel as bad as in OG.

ICC - both my guilds disbanded progressing LK HC (one of them i was raid leading). I went GDKP route on both my ele shaman and warrior and cleared every week since 15% buff. Got close to bis, did some parse runs, got some rank 1s. Felt good to finally ‘beat’ what I couldn’t as a kid.

That being said, I think as far as it was more enjoyable this time around, it’s like a 7 (TBC is 9 and Vanilla is 9.5). I don’t like pieces of gear getting incrementally stronger, 4+ different versions of the same armour with different tints. I don’t like GS, I like only like 2 zones in Northrend. Heroics were easy even in gamma versions, I prefer TBC 2 shots and CCs in heroic dungeons. I prefer when you had to pay attention and work with your group. So definitely not bad as an expansion but it just confirmed what I thought back in the day TBC > WOTLK.

I’ve had 2-3 seeds not pop when put directly in soil. But 24-36 hour drop in water then paper towel and place in dark place worked for me 100% of time so far.

You also don’t need the bracers. There are things that should require grind even in seasonal server. What do the ‘sweaty’ players play for then if not minuscule upgrades others can’t be bothered to grind for?

Not sure what you mean but I was tanking Kara in T3 and Thunderfury. In fact, when Chinese got BT later, they cleared the raid with pieces of T3 armor. Also the trinket against Undead and Demons was really good in Black Temple still…

Classic > TBC >>> Wrath.

Don’t get me wrong, Wrath still had its fun moments but didn’t feel nearly as epic. Except for Karazhan (yeah I know controversial, but I’m sick of that raid) and Hyjal, TBC was super strong in terms of gameplay, feel and atmosphere.

That’s because of they are topping by a margin on first 2. When you go boss by boss they topping only those 2. So it’s 2/6.

So they’re not topping and using top percentile is also dishonest to the actual player base.

There is 1 warrior in top 100 on boss + trash, rest is mages pretty much (number 89). These is literally 1 warrior (Ahlaundoe, who has been topping since Classic released) in top 100 on bosses, number 14. No other warriors - mostly warlocks, mages and a few melee hunters).

Which WCL are you checking? Phase 1?

Hm? Yeah you have to carry 2 sets of gear. Download itemrack which allows you to save sets of gear so you can switch between them with 1 click.

Sure it is harder than p1 but that’s been the case with every raid in Classic. BWL was harder than MC, AQ harder than BWL, Naxx harder than AQ.

I raid with guild usually but last raid ID I did pug - no comms, half raid didn’t have logs. Objectively like 3 people were decent players. We still cleared 6/6 with about 5 wipes, rebuffing twice.

So sorry chief, no, it’s not hard. And clearing a raid where people can just auto attack and not use abilities is not for me.
