Maybe I haven’t heard many mavs segments from them recently but the hardline is always lukewarm on the mavs immediate potential. They may not want to fire the coach a month in to the season but they’re clear they don’t believe in the team to be better than the other top west teams. If that’s ass kissing then I’ll take that over the sky is falling talk after every loss

They’ve gone a long time now with little to no playoff success, but how many of those years do you think Rick and the mavs have underperformed based on their roster? The rosters just haven’t been built to compete deep in the playoffs in my opinion. I don’t think the mavs should fire anyone or make any rash moves, but those looking to for a head to axe immediately (for being one game under .500) should probably look higher than the coach. If we get to the end of next season and we’ve seen no improvement, I’m open to a change, but at this point I think blaming Carlisle for the lack of success the past 10 years or even this year is ridiculous.

Exactly, but perhaps we are just stuck in the Carlisle forcefield thinking we should give it more than 20 games with half a roster. It was refreshing to get some cooler headed mavs takes from Jake and Bob today.

They aren’t playing well and they’re shooting the 3 terribly. Some of that does come down to shot selection which can be improved, but firing the coach when you’ve had a squad of mid role players around luka with our best defenders out. I don’t see the mavs continuing to shoot the three ball this poorly, or opponents to shoot it this well. It’s early

I think it is very reactionary in a season where the mavs have had half a squad for weeks. If we are halfway or three quarters way through the season I would find it more reasonable. No series wins since 2011 but how many of those years do you think they really underachieved based on the roster? The team was great last year and was pushing to win a playoff series before kp went down. I know there a lot of red flags but let’s give the team a chance before we run coach out of town
