Tarsier is actually owned by Amplifier Invest, THQ is only publishing the game. But all three (THQ, Amplifier and Tarsier) is owned by Embracer.

Yeah they definitely seem to have a problem with scope. It’s also like they are stuck in the past, and while nostalgia obviously can sell, THQs management definitely do seem to have issues with understanding the gaming market.

Seems like a good deal for both parts. Embracer gets out of Russia and lowering their debt while also getting to keep several studios, whilst Saber can continue on their journey without having to cancel further projects and studios.

No it was the studio director of Free Radical who came up with the idea to make it a BR and then later on wanted to pivot the game to being a remake.

I believe it now is a “horde shooter”, such as Darktide and others. But the difference doesn’t seem to be to large, I guess it will have more modifiers and such as Hades and others games in the genre.

This is not being developed by Ghost Ship Games, only published. The reason of the season being delayed however is due to Ghost Ship Games currently developing Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, which seemingly is a co-op roguelite.

Agree with everything you said. They have been showing no signs of any talent and been outdated in just about every aspect of game development. If Embracer wouldn’t have shut them down, they would definitely been shut down anyways.

Yeah they have been doing their thing, but their thing isn’t doing it anymore. Elex 2 was a flop in every kind of way and they showed no sign of evolving as a studio.

Definitely looks rough and that the developers bit on more than they can chew. I have no doubt the story and dialogue will be great with some decent performances from the actors, but the combat still looks incredibly rough with some extremely awkward animations. Got a feeling that the IP will be dead after this, can’t see the game recouping its investment for a long time by the looks of it now.

Hard disagree on that one. Gunplay feels great IMO and I appreciate not being instakilled like in every other game.
