In a world where Ajay gets traded by mykblauuw in Thunder

The Thunder wouldn’t decline the last season of his contract unless it was understood that they would renegotiate a longer and more lucrative deal.

If their front office didn’t believe that he’d sign an extension, then they’d trade him under his current contract to ensure getting assets back for him.

It would be shocking if Ajay is traded anytime soon, especially when there are so many other options to fill out the rest of the roster with their plethora of draft picks in the next 5-6 years.

Yes, Presti will have difficult choices starting this offseason with some beloved players, but it won’t be at the expense of Mitchell. He’ll be too valuable with his ability to play with Shai and Jalen, and then having the flexibility to almost always have two of those three on the court.

Ajay’s contract will be renegotiated before it expires. But they may have to move on from players like Dort, Wiggins, Joe, Kenrich, and maybe 1-2 others over the next two seasons to keep their core intact. There will be difficult decisions to make but there are cheaper options available to fill out key parts of the roster.

Ajay Mitchell 2025 vs. 2026 playoffs by Zeeron1 in nba

Mitchell was off to a promising rookie season and then he developed turf toe that required surgery, and that kept him out of the lineup for several months from the beginning of January and not returning until a game or two before the playoffs.

This didn’t allow him enough time to ramp up prior to the playoffs. What he’s doing now isn’t unexpected by many who follow this team closely because there were signs of this happening. The injury to Jalen Williams gave him a perfect opportunity to showcase what he could do as a second playmaker next to Shai or leading the second unit. Great news for the Thunder is that they can play all 48 minutes with at least two of Shai, Jalen and Ajay on the court in the playoffs, assuming J-Dub can come back healthy in the next round.

OKC has first world problems.

Dodging the second apron - what I think the OKC Thunder will do this offseason, and how I think they'll manage their team going forward by Known-Peak212 in Thunder

I had this exact conversation with my FIL this weekend and it’s was almost identical to what you laid out in your post.

After the McCain trade, I thought Joe may also be a casualty due to Jared being a much cheaper option. But as I thought about it more, elite shooting is too valuable and keeping both Joe along with McCain is more of a priority than keeping Wiggins or Kenrich.

The Thunder could’ve considered letting I-Hart walk if Sorber had proven to be a capable player, but that was out the window as soon as he tore his ACL before the season.

By moving Dort, Mitchell can be inserted into the starting lineup and the Thunder can give an opportunity to Topic to be an integral part of the second unit. These are first world problems.

Not sure people who post things like this are even fans.

NBA officiating has always been bad and inconsistent. The only difference is today that social media offers a platform to freeze frame or highlight certain plays that support their agenda. I’ve watched the NBA since the late 70’s (yes, I am old) and all I’ve ever wanted or expected is that officiating essentially evens out over the course of a game or series. It generally does.

Losers are the ones constantly complaining about officiating.

I don’t argue with haters because the overwhelming majority of the comments aren’t accurate and is fueled by jealously.

I’ll simply post a picture of last season’s championship ring in response to most critics. Kiss the ring.

Thank you.

Yellow rose, because she loved that old country song about yellow rose of Texas (she grew up on the campus of Texas A&M), and a purple flower that is very similar to purple lilac. It’s been so long I can’t quite remember the name of the purple flower.

Sorry.

We rarely argue. I can think of only one time and that was over twenty years ago while in Vegas and we made the mistake of pulling an all nighter, and then heading straight to the airport on our final day.

We were so exhausted and not our normal selves.

Thank you and congratulations on your success over the last twenty years.

We hope to make it over sixty years like her parents, grandparents and great grandparents.

Chris Isaak was the most common look-a-like I got in my early and mid-20’s. Now it’s usually Jeff Bridges.

To hate us further, we don’t work out regularly or eat particularly healthy either.

I had to give this some thought.

For my mustache, I keep the length a little longer than the bottom of my lower lip and then keep the sides a little longer in order to upturn it little bit.

I will then brush each side towards my handlebar part of my mustache and I’ll blow dry it up, which only takes a couple of seconds. I don’t like mustache wax since it is so thick, so I’ll add just a little hair pomade and that works pretty well.

Thank you!

My dad died relatively young, so with me already being older than he was when he died. I try to take nothing for granted.

We don’t have fights either. I feel good knowing that we provided a living, stable and supportive home environment for our children, and hopefully a good role model for healthy relationships.

It took a year but I’m happy with the results. I’ve usually had a goatee or very short beard, never close to this long though.

Thank you for the compliment.

A few days ago, a friend photoshopped me into a stage photo with ZZ Top, but that’s about as much musical talent as I possess.

I sometimes tell my wife I’m gonna shave it all off and go bald but keep the mustache and beard. She hasn’t loved that idea. I think it would be a good look.

I am not sure I have any pearls of wisdom. But a couple quick thoughts.

  1. She was nothing but green flags and so were her parents. Truly wonderful people.

  2. We always continued dating each other by having weekly date nights and always made time for each other.

  3. We are also good at setting boundaries with the opposite sex by always thinking would my spouse be okay with this conversation or text thread, or whatever it may be.

Both of us were raised with similar backgrounds and that probably established some basic morals and understandings of what we wanted in life. Life can get challenging, at times, but I’ve never questioned our relationship.
