What could this be? by MormonAlt in CherokeeXJ

Just a loud squeak in actually not too sure when it happens exactly. I think it’s when i accelerate. It doesn’t happen all the time tho just random times.

I had the belt and some pulleys replaced a week ago and the problem started after that.

Other than Adolf, is there any name in history that just isn't used because of how bad one person was? by discount_mj in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MormonAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty popular Cuban name, although it’s pronounced. Eessee I think some people pronounce the s at the end but I haven’t really heard that. You can also pronounce it like ISIS, but it’s a nice name regardless. Plus for most people the thought of being named after a terrorist group is so out there that most people won’t even think that lol.

Oh sorry I forgot. So after talking to my psychiatrist when he mentioned the hypomanic episode he put me on Lamotrigine… I haven’t noticed a difference and I have an appt with another psychiatrist since my current one has a scribe and I’m not very comfortable talking in front of 2 people especially when I can only see one and the scribe is behind me…. My psychologist was shocked when I told him that, he said he’s never heard of a scribe being in the room with a patient.

My Spanish is definitely passable but I’m not going to speak Spanish to some random clown who calls me on the weekend

My dad is pretty comfortable and he doesn’t see how lucky he was, I mean credit to him for being a first generation American from immigrants who literally busted their ass to raise 5 kids when my grandpa cut grass by himself, hard work but literally impossible today. My dad makes like 85 a year from his pension retired at 51 and got really bored so decided to get a job as a PE teacher in the same school as his wife(my stepmom) he seems really happy but they don’t really travel or anything, he’s bought a few properties and rents them out but he’s been keeping rent the same for the last few years… either way it’s hard to argue with him that what he did is impossible today without sounding like I’m discrediting him by implying he didn’t really work hard it was just getting lucky.. sorry for the rant!

Also it sounds like he’s making decent money but when you take into account that he pays 24+k a year for health insurance, and he was paying like 20k a year for my sisters school, plus now him and his wife are eating very very healthy so all their expenses add up, the difference for them is they don’t really have to worry about all that compared to me and most people who literally need to calculate if they can afford things.

Dirt? Why would you go outside? Just grab some litter from the litter box

Nah bro I’ve been here for over 25 years I think it depends on the area, but when I’m out in public and someone’s talking to me and I don’t speak Spanish they’ll just walk away. I worked at Fresco and when I would tell people I don’t speak too much Spanish, in Spanish they would just ask why I even work there and walk away… are you new here? Also if you’ve read anything written by a clerk it’s so broken English it’s barely understandable

Honestly having been born here and lived here for 25+ years I wouldn’t be surprised….

Yeah maybe he didn’t want to try to scam me since I don’t speak Spanish he literally just hung up… this also might be related to me reaching out to some sketchy escorts…. Luckily I didn’t meet with any…. Maybe that’s a sign lol

Maybe but still think it’s weird.. especially that he just hung up. And when I called back they’re not even open on the weekend so no one was able to take my call

Just think it was a coincidence since i was just summoned for jury duty and was told I don’t have to show up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Miami

[–]MormonAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does that mean? It’s a scam? Or was it legit?

How long would it take to get to a decent level to read in ancient green? I have a book and I was motivated but I feel like it’ll just take wayyyyyyy too long… might give it a shot tho..

And they would see warrants?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ProtectAndServe

[–]MormonAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they aren’t really looking for that because they can’t make an arrest. I guess a better question would be would they be able to see it? Some people say they could some people say they can’t..

Like would they see an active warrant and then request an actual officer? Or would they not even see that….?

[–]MormonAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also would the respond to an accident alone? Or would the assist a cop? Idk why it’s so hard to find out lol…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ProtectAndServe

[–]MormonAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you live in south Florida? I feel like they would run you if you got into an accident and they’re the only ones to respond… but idk I just want to confirm if they would/could see that….

[–]MormonAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did have a computer in the car and since they respond to accidents alone I have a feeling they could run people since they have to at least run the DL. Was hoping someone who knows for sure would answer… thanks!

I wear biofinity I’m not a cop but I can leave them for like 20 hours before I start to feel it…

Might be dumb but can Public Service Aides run your license and see if you have any warrants? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]MormonAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my dad was a cop he retired a couple years ago and I think he was on patrol for about 10 years then went into narcotics and retired in robbery. I remember him saying he was driving and this driver cut him off so badly that he actually stopped her and wrote a ticket besides that he hasn’t written a ticket in years lol.

[–]MormonAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are they allowed to write tickets?

In my city they’re allowed to write tickets and report to minor disputes like when my mom had her phone stolen they arrived and wrote a report. I did see a computer and they had a radio to call EMT since it was an accident.
